Marks B&B's 4th overall Imagen nod

Lorenzo Lamas (Hector, Bold and the Beautifl)Lorenzo Lamas received a nomination in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Television Drama Series for his work as Hector on the CBS soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful, by the IMAGEN Foundation.

This marks the first IMAGEN Award nomination for Lamas and the fourth nod for The Bold and the Beautiful.  Lamas was nominated for his performance during the calendar year of 2006 in which he portrayed Los Angeles fireman Hector Ramirez who fell in love with the beautiful Dr. Taylor Hayes Forrester and whose life spiraled downward after he insisted she cover her alcoholism and a tragic hit and run accident in which her sister-in-law died.  Lamas joined The Bold and the Beautiful in 2004.

Lamas was the only soap actor nominated this year. However, Eva La Rue, (ex Maria, All My Children) was likewise nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role on CBS primetime's CSI: Miami.

The IMAGEN Awards are put on by the IMAGEN Foundation, a non-profit organization whose dedication is to increase Latino representation within the entertainment industry.  The IMAGEN Awards honors and recognizes the positive portrayals of Latinos and Latino culture in film and television, and celebrates the exemplary achievements of Latino talent in the entertainment industry.

The 22nd Annual IMAGEN Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, July 28 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.  For more information on the Imagen Awards and for a full list of nominees, visit: www.imagen.org/awards.

Soapdom congratulates Lamas, La Rue and all the nominees for this year.
