Bobbie Eakes (pictured here as Macy on B&B)joins the cast of the ABC daytime Emmy Award-Winning drama series, All My Children, in the role of Krystal it was announced today by ABC daytime president, Brian Frons.
“We are all excited about the addition of Bobbie Eakes to the All My Children family,” says executive producer, Julie Hanan Carruthers. “Her talent is and appeal is sure to bring Krystal to life in a very unique way.”
Krystal is the estranged mother of Baby Chandler (Alexa Harris), who recently came to Pine Valley, newly wed to JR Chandler (Jacob Young). A rather wild child, the blushing bride had sexual relations with Jamie Martin (Justin Bruenig) without disclosing her marriage vows. As Babe continues a marriage of infidelity, her mother’s arrival in town will only insure further twists, turns and deception within the dysfunctional Chandler and Martin households. Could Krystal be a new love interest for Tad? We will have to tune in and see!
Bobbie Eakes most recently played the popular role of Macy Alexander Sharpe on The Bold and the Beautiful. Macy was just seriously injured during a freak chandelier accident while performing at Oscar's (Brian Gaskill, ex Rafe, PC) club on B&B. Set to remain on the show, her changing soaps and coasts came as a surprise to the world of soapdom. After suffering a number of talent losses to CBS (Cady McClain and Roger Howarth to ATWT), it looks like ABC is striking back, wooing a popular CBS soap star over to ranks of ABC daytime.
Currently the host of the Great American Country Network’s top twenty countdown and request show, “CRL,” Eakes has also established a successful career as a singer, having performed all over the world in concert to sold-out audiences. She has also starred in numerous television music specials and variety shows, and most recently appeared in the film, Charlie’s War.
Look for Krystal to arrive in PineValley sometime in November.
