B&B Reaches Milestone!
The Bold and the Beautiful, close to wrapping its 16th season as television’s second highest-rated daytime drama, taped its 4,000th episode on Thursday, February 6, 2003. Bradley Bell, Executive Producer and head writer of this long running television series, cut a special cake for the occasion at the 11:30 AM ceremony on the B&B Stages at CBS Television City in Los Angeles.
Joining Bell for this occasion were the series’ four original cast members: Susan Flannery (Stephanie), John McCook (Eric), Ronn Moss (Ridge) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke). Other cast members to attend the ceremony included Darlene Conley (Sally), Bobbie Eakes (Macy), Jennifer Finnigan (Bridget), Adrienne Frantz (Amber), Winsor Harmon (Thorne), Sean Kanan (Decan), Joe Mascolo (Massimo), Dan McVicar (Clarke), Maeve Quinlan (Megan), Justin Torkildsen (Rick) and Sandra Vidal (Sofia).
The Bold and the Beautiful was created in 1987 by television legends Bill and Lee Bell. Their son Bradley Bell now sets the course for B&B, which is viewed daily by an estimated 300 million viewers in over 100 countries, making it the most-watched television series in the world. The Bold and the Beautiful is set in Beverly Hills and focuses on the rivalry between two powerful families in the fashion industry.
Fresh from completing its most acclaimed remote shoot ever in Portofino, Italy, The Bold and the Beautiful was recently honored by Soap Opera Digest as Best Show for 2002.
The regular taping schedule demands 250 episodes a year. Many times, more than one show in a single day is taped. The Bold and the Beautiful is taped at CBS Television City airs nationwide on the CBS Television Network and worldwide in over 100 countries to an estimated 300 million daily viewers.
The US airing of 4000th episode will take place on March 7, 2003, the birthday of the creator of the Bold and The Beautiful, William J. Bell.
