Sonny dismisses Diane’s warning that Jason could see his working with Karpov as betrayal and might try to retaliate. Sonny remains certain that Jason would never make a move against him. Claudia arrives to find Ric and Sonny together.

Carly handcuffs herself to Jax in her latest attempt to convince him to put an end to their separation. Jax, however, becomes infuriated when Carly loses the keys to the handcuffs. The locksmith Jax and Carly call points out that Jax is a lucky man to have such a spontaneous and exciting wife as Carly.

In New York City, Lulu and Johnny manage to forget their troubles for a while. Johnny comforts Lulu when she’s haunted by thoughts of stabbing Logan.

Back in Port Charles, Anna chastises Robin for setting up Eli’s phony kidnapping attempt. Eli is faced with an old girlfriend, who arrives with his young son in tow. Matt hears Eli saying he wants nothing to do with the boy. Robin is moved to see Patrick’s ease with Eli’s son.

The day winds down as Nikolas puts an end to Nadine’s attempt to go undercover. Then, Sam tells Lucky she’s landing a shipment for Karpov the following week and needs his help.

Days of our Lives' Brendan Michael Coughlin enjoys playing Tad and being a new dad

When asked what it is like to play Tad on Days of our Lives, Brendan Michael Coughlin shouts exuberantly, "I love him!"

Coughlin has been playing the so-called behind the scenes instigator for the last two years. He has no family that is ever mentioned on the show, but he is there. He came on as Will's (Guy Wilson) best friend, but when it became clear that Will was gay, Tad did everything but bash and degrade and mock him. The irony? At the recent wedding of Will and Sonny (Freddie Smith), he was best man. Go figure!

"I know. It has been a wild ride. I did a whole turn around, and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed doing the wedding. I really enjoy playing this guy. He is a total goof-off. He means well, but is always on the wrong side of the rope." Coughlin said. "I have grown to love him. He is comic relief. I always had dramatic roles, so this is fun."
