Kate makes up a story for being at Sonny’s and manages to get away with the DVD. Once back at home, Kate plays the DVD and learns the truth about Claudia’s role in Michael’s shooting. Armed with the disc, Kate heads to the fundraiser prepared to blow Claudia out of the water. Jax is unable to attend the benefit due to a business crisis.

Meantime, thanks to Spinelli’s hacking skills, he and Jason discover that Earl Bragg purchased deadly cargo and that he’s been taken to General Hospital after crashing his rental car. Just then, Matt prepares to operate on Earl with Elizabeth, Monica and Leyla as part of the team. After taking a look at Earl’s X-rays, Patrick makes a frantic dash to the operating room to try and stop Matt, but he’s too late to ward off a catastrophe in the making.

As tragedy strikes General Hospital, Nikolas pours out his heart when he visits Emily’s grave on her birthday, admitting he still loves her too much to move on with Nadine. Shortly thereafter, as coincidence would have it, Nikolas gets a glimpse of Emily’s look-a-like at the hospital. Finally, as Lulu seeks Carly’s advice about how to deal with Johnny, Sam ends up at the hospital with a minor injury she sustained in a car crash.
