Carnival chaos & other stories
Dante/Dominic was quite the hero this week -- risking his own life to save Morgan. Funny how he has no idea Morgan is his brother. And Sonny has no idea the man who saved his youngest son is his first-born son. I think if he knew, Sonny would donate his kidney to Dante/Dominic.
I think I've mentioned one or 20 times how much I love the interactions between Dante/Dominic and Morgan. This week was no exception. When Morgan wentto thank his big brother for saving his life, it was another great moment between the two. I think this relationship will get even better with time.
Dante/Dominic is really in sync with Sonny lately. They have so much in common and their conversations are relaxed and easy. I think once he gets beyond what his firstborn son does for a living, Sonny will embrace him. Sonny will most likely find it really difficult to forgive Olivia at first. But in the end, I can see it happening. Sonny is much more forgiving than he once was. I think he'll see that Olivia did what she thought was in the best interest of her child at the time. Olivia already knows Sonny has great potential as a father. She came so close to telling him the truth in the chapel. I hope she tells him soon.
Olivia nearly jumped out of her skin when she found Sonny at her son's bedside. For a minute I thought - no, I hoped - one of them would put the pieces together.
I love the idea that Michael has a "gift" for seeing things. The fortuneteller felt the vibe from Michael. I believe she's right on too. The woman predicted "something evil" was coming and she was right. So I'm curious where they're going with Michael's "gift" to see the future, so to speak.
Can someone put a leash on Kiefer? He had the nerve to give Kristina a "private" cell phone so she can be at his beck and call 24/7. The kid has nerve, I'll give him that. But someone needs to "handle" Kiefer. Someone like Sonny or Jason. And they better do it soon, before it's too late.
I wonder - is anyone gonna call Diane and tell her about Max? Did Milo call her? Do Sonny and Jason know Max is hurt?
I thought Rebecca really stepped up for Edward. Poor Edward had no idea Andrea was a murderer and he almost became her second victim. I think Rebecca genuinely cares about Edward and the rest of the Q's. I think she really loves Nikolas too. She'll be devastated when she finds out he's playing her. I don't blame Nikolas for wanting payback but I can't help feeling a little sorry for Rebecca. She doesn't even see it coming. And by the time she does, It will be too late.
I have to say I thought having Jason run to Sam like she's his best friend and confidant was very stupid. Why wouldn't Jason confide in someone like Spinelli or Carly? Why Sam? And suddenly Jason is worried about his son? Please - he's back in a relationship with the woman who put him in harms way. Jason has become so wishy-washy lately. And really - why isn't Jason worried about Liz getting involved with a Cassadine? I mean they aren't the most normal of families. And why isn't Jason jealous as heck? Liz is the love of his life, isn't she??
I know many Liason fans are unhappy with the current JaSam story. Some have even stopped watching because of it. My friend, Renee (a long-time passionate and informed Liason fan), thinks the current JaSam story/reunion is "destroying" and "dismantling" Jason Morgan, the character. Renee says, "It's disheartening as a fan of his character to see them take Jason in this direction. It's a betrayal of the character in so many ways."
Always a realist, Renee says she can "see Jason with another woman - but never Sam."
Word is Nikolas and Liz will be doing some major fooling around soon. I'm not sure what that means about her future with Lucky. Here's what I think - Liz will do "the right thing." She'll "settle" and accept Lucky's proposal even though she has deep feelings for Nikolas. I think Liz loves Lucky but I don't think she's IN LOVE with him. Liz will more than likely put herself last and do what she thinks is best for her children. First and foremost, Liz is a mother. As evidenced by her break up with Jason, Liz will put her own needs aside and take care of her children. In Liz's mind, Lucky is better for the kids. Even though he's made mistakes, Lucky is a good man and a good father. I'm not saying it's the right decision. And I'm not saying it's gonna last. But I think Liz will marry Lucky again and try to provide a "normal" life for her kids. Say what you will about Elizabeth, but she's a good mother - the best, in fact.
