It was Batman to the rescue at the clinic. Nikolas was in superhero mode when he got Nadine and Matt out of that fire. Nikolas is a great Batman. He has the butler and the spooky mansion. All he needs is the Batmobile.
Finally someone heard me - Jerry and Carly had a conversation. Even better was Jerry understood Carly’s actions. Jerry was, dare I say, a comfort to his sister in law. Jerry was sweet and gentle with Carly. Yes, sweet and gentle. Jerry said he understood what Carly did and told her, “You don’t trust to be happy, so you destroy what matters most.” Those two are so much alike. Doesn’t anyone see how perfect they are for each other?
Clearly Jerry has many layers. One Jerry left a man to die in an explosion. The other Jerry gave his sister in law emotional support. Still another Jerry suggested Matt set the clinic on fire. All the while, that same Jerry feigned sympathy for Nadine. Jerry went from Sam to Alexis in the same night. If it was up to Jerry, I think he would have gone from Sam’s bed to Alexis’ bed. I used to wonder if Jerry had some sort of personality disorder. Now I’m certain he’s simply a calculated and deliberate man. I believe the “real” Jerry is the man with Sam. He’s the man who shot Robin, killed Stan, kidnapped Lulu, set the clinic on fire, and poisoned Nikolas. The man with Alexis is a complete phony. That Jerry is trying to fool gullible Alexis into believing he’s reformed. That way, Alexis won’t notice when he does something horrific. Jerry is far from crazy. He’s brilliant. He’s already turning the tables on Sam by reporting her actions to Alexis. Can you believe Jerry had the nerve to tell Alexis that Sam has been “coming on to” him? The man is so convincing, it’s frightening and I love it. The whole thing makes Alexis uncomfortable. She knows if given the choice, Jerry would choose Sam over her.
Sam thinks she can con Jerry? She must think the man is stupid. Sam needs to be a whole lot smarter to fool Jerry. If not, she may end up like Matt and Nadine. Lucky actually understands that Jerry “can smell a set up.” Obviously Lucky was right, judging by the hold Jerry had on Sam’s throat. I’m thinking Jerry will make Sam prove her loyalty. But how far is she willing to go? I don’t think Jerry’s buying any of Sam’s story at this point. Jerry looked at Sam the same way he looked at Claudia just before he stuck her with that knife. Sam is trying to keep Jerry from moving beyond the kiss. Jerry said, “I’m not a man known for my patience” and I believe him. I don’t think Sam can string Jerry along for very long. One thing I will say about Jerry and Sam is they’re more realistic than Jerry and Alexis.
Jax was horrible to Carly at the hospital. He called Jerry to pick him up. Suddenly Jax calls Jerry when he needs a ride? What about his best friend Alexis? Jax hardly gives Jerry the time of day. Why, then would Jax call Jerry of all people? Jax is an idiot.
Why did Carly walk into Jason’s bedroom? Why did she go upstairs to wash her face? Jason lives in a penthouse. Doesn’t he have a bathroom downstairs? Carly seemed genuinely sorry for interrupting Jason and Liz. I honestly don’t think she meant any harm this time. My hope is that Carly is finally growing and maturing where Jason is concerned. I’d like Carly to be supportive of Jason’s relationship with Liz. This was the first time I could see that as a realistic possibility.
I’m not sold on the Internet dating idea yet. Carly already has Karpov’s interest. I would think her destructive side would capitalize on that. That would also bring Jax back to save Carly. The only thing that saved it for me was “Scotty the hottie.” Poor Carly matched up with “two widowers, a cheating husband, and Scotty Baldwin.” Then she learned her perfect mate was “Danger Dude,” aka Jason Morgan. That shows how accurate online dating can be.
Wasn’t Laura given the LS49 because of Robin and Patrick? So why haven’t they been kept up to date on her progress? This whole awakening is very suspect.
Sonny and Kate – there are no words. Does anyone even watch them anymore? My two favorite words about Sonny and Kate are “fast” and “foreword.” The way Kate talked about her family was just odd. She just dismissed them from her life and never looked back.
Diane grilling Sonny in her “mock courtroom” saved it for me. Sonny seemed genuinely amused by Diane when he turned his head and smiled. “Sometimes, I don’t know why, I get the distinct feeling you don’t like me,” Sonny said to Diane. “I don’t want to rain on your little parade, but this is not court,” Sonny told Diane. They lost me shortly after that though.
The verdict is in and it’s “not guilty.” So what’s next for Johnny?
I really could have done without Lucky and Sam in the hot tub. At least he wasn’t wearing jeans this time.
I still really like the idea of Claudia and Ric. Those two just plain shine together. I don’t think I’ve ever seen another woman slap Ric on his behind either.
Poor Max was broken hearted when Diane cut him loose. Max was very cute when he asked Carly on a “date.” Even though Max has been attracted to Carly for a long time, his heart belongs to Diane, no matter how much he protests.
Anna and Noah are back. Whatever happened to their big summer story? Did I blink and miss it?
Matt Hunter is a Drake. I knew it. He’s been way too interested in Patrick and Noah. Apparently Noah cheated on Patrick’s mother numerous times. One of those times resulted in Matt. Patrick is learning what a “dog” his father was. Patrick resents the choices Noah made all those years ago. Matt has a huge chip on his shoulder. He has no respect for Noah and not much interest in his new family. Matt claims to want “nothing” from the Drakes. The question is this – can Matt Hunter be trusted?
