Spinelli turns to Jax for advice on love and Claudia makes Maxie an offer she can't refuse

Ingo Rademacher (Jax, General Hospital)I don’t like Maxie working with Claudia against Lulu.  I like to think Maxie has more class then to get involved with crazy Claudia.  I think Maxie can take Johnny from Lulu without even trying.  I just don’t think Claudia needs to be the initiator.

I’m very confused about the fashion nightmare over at Crimson.  Kate dresses like my grandmother for starters.  Why does Lulu come to work at a high fashion magazine dressed in jeans and t-shirts?  The only one who has any fashion sense is Maxie.  She continues to look stunning while the other two women pale in comparison.  Unfortunately, the fashion nightmare goes beyond the walls of Crimson.  So many of the women in town have no clue how to dress.  The well-dressed men far outnumber the well-dressed women.  Jax, Sonny, Ric, Jerry, Max, Milo, and Trevor always look dashing.  Carly, Alexis, Sam, Nadine, and Tracy are a “Glamour don’t” more often then not.  Diane has great fashion sense when she moves away from the conservative business suits.

Diane really missed her calling.  I think she’d make a great mob boss.  She was fearless when that idiot attacked Spinelli in the coffee house.  The way Diane positioned herself in front of Jason with Max and Milo on either side of her!  Then, she totally controlled the situation with her legal prowess.  We also got to see the sensitive side of Diane for a change.  I found myself liking that side of Diane.  She ended her father speech with humor when she told Jason, “I won’t bill you for any of this.  Not for the last ten minutes but everything from now on is fair game.”   Even Jason found that funny.  Lately, Diane just can’t go wrong.

Max made me laugh in his dopey fishing hat.  I find him so sweet and appealing.  He’s so devoted to Sonny.  He just wants to protect him physically and emotionally.  Max is such a mother hen when it comes to protecting Sonny.

Spinelli cleans up nice!  He even combed his hair to escort Leyla to the wedding.  Spinelli was adorable and he was the perfect wedding date.  I loved the way he took care of that guy with one punch!  I was very impressed.  Even with all that going on, Leyla still bores me to tears.  I’m not interested in her family’s expectations of her.  I just don’t care.

Spinelli and Jax together?  Now that’s entertaining.  It seems Spinelli’s new role model is the “white night.”  I’m not buying into the “love is like a game” nonsense Jax is spewing.  I will say this: Spinelli looks great in an expensive suit.  I’m not sure I like the accent though.

I was seriously amused by Jerry’s reaction to Spinelli’s new look and sound.  It only got better from there.  That look Jerry and Claudia shared across the casino spoke volumes.  I just knew he would follow her outside.  I wish Jason hadn’t interrupted.  I still don’t know if Jerry was planning to kiss Claudia or kill her.

Wow!  Jax and Alexis, the town hypocrites had quite a conversation.  Here we go again.  Both of them should reexamine Jerry’s involvement with their kids.

I think Alexis has a lot of nerve asking for Carly’s help with Sonny.  Then she badmouths Carly when Carly says she can’t help.  I think it was generous of Carly to give in to Jax and finally agree to help Alexis.  I still have to ask the obvious question: Why didn’t these women think about the danger before they had Sonny’s kids?

Jax generally gets what he wants.  He guilted Carly into talking to Sonny for Alexis.   During Carly’s visit, Sonny put it all out there.  As he said, he was “a great” father as long as it suited Carly.  She certainly never considered Sonny a danger when she was married to him.  Both Carly and Sonny are manipulating control freaks.  They lie, cheat, and steal to get what they want.  They’re a good match.  I still don’t understand why Sonny and Carly ever got divorced.

I really enjoyed seeing Jason and Mike interact.  I especially love it when we see the human side of Jason.  Ron Hale is such a fine actor and he’s so under used.  I’ve loved him since his days as Dr. Roger Coleridge on Ryan’s Hope.  I think Jason helped Mike as much for Mike as for Sonny.  I get the impression that Jason really feels for Mike and understands his addiction.

We only had one Liason scene but it spoke volumes.  That little moment outside of Kelly’s was brief, but very effective.

I’d love to see more of Mac and Carly together.  Mac was really understanding of Carly’s grief.  The two of them actually bonded over losing a child.  If the day comes when Carly learns of Jerry and Claudia’s role in the shooting, I think she’ll go gunning for them.

Look out.  Jax and Kate are putting their two empty heads together to keep Carly and Sonny apart.

As hard as I tried, I couldn’t get into Sam and Lucky’s Mexico adventure.  It made no sense to me that “good cop,” Lucky would get involved in Luke’s mess.  The woman from Sam’s past was even less interesting.  Didn’t we get enough of that nonsense when Amelia was in town?

I like the idea of Nikolas opening a clinic.  Here’s the thing though.  Nik offered to pay Nadine $5,000 to “consult” with him.  I’m sorry, $5,000 a week?  Who gets paid that much money to consult on a clinic?  I think Nik is using Nadine and the clinic as a way to keep his mind off Claudia.  Wait and see.

Days of our Lives' Blake Berris on Meth Head

Blake Berris of Days of our Lives in a movie? You bet. The talented actor not only lights up the screen on Days as the twisted character of Nick Fallon that he so eloquently plays, but now he co-stars in "Meth Head" an independent feature film that was just screened in Washington, DC.  -- to rave reviews.

"Yes! I just came back from the screening. I'm still in Washington and I was thrilled to read the reviews in the papers," Berris said. "This film is something I really wanted to do."

Berris plays Dustin, a character who befriends Kyle, the lead character, played by Lukas Hass ("Lincoln", "Inception", " Brick"), and let's just say he leads him down the pathway of life to hell.
