Luke continues to spiral downward

I really detest this side of Luke we’ve been seeing so much of.  It’s the side of Luke that denies his real problems.  The side that cheats on his wife.  The side that couldn’t care less about damaging his children.  It’s so obvious that Luke is nothing but a loser.  How a man can speak to his son the way Luke spoke to Lucky is beyond me.  It’s shameful.  What an eye opener the visit was for Lucky.  Even though Luke said what he said out of his twisted version of love.  Luke wanted to set Lucky free.  But really, Luke never should have

been anyone’s father.  He was and is much too damaged by his own childhood.

That being said, I really dislike Luke at the moment.  The only good thing that’s come from this is the new dynamic between Lucky, Ethan, and Lulu. 

The real question is should Lucky learn the truth about Aiden?  Or will learning the truth now push him over the edge?  Both Maxie and Siobhan make a valid point, but who’s right?  Obviously if Lucky is torching his family home, he’s got some huge issues to come to terms with.

It seems rather odd that Brenda doesn’t have a bodyguard.  What happened to Max and Milo?  Brenda is just out there ripe for the picking.  If the visit with Anthony doesn’t open Brenda’s eyes, nothing will.  Brenda seems like she’s possibly heading for another breakdown thanks to Sonny and the life he’s chosen.  She needs to get out, before it’s too late.

Sonny is so paranoid about Ethan’s intentions.  Kristina has a school girl crush on Ethan.  And Ethan would never hurt her.  I used to think they were like a younger Jason and Carly.  Now it seems they’re more like a young Luke and Laura.

We all know Maxie isn’t the sharpest girl.  She’s a sharp dresser, yes.  But her intelligence is minimal at best.  But Maxie gets total props for the way she talks down to Dante.  She makes him look like such an idiot, I can’t help but laugh.  But, I have to give Dante credit for covering for Lucky on the house fire.  Even though he’s done some questionable things, Dante is a good man.

It’s a shame Jerry isn’t in town.  Can you imagine what a team Jerry and Lisa could have been?  Lisa could easily be Jerry’s perfect mate.  Too bad he’s gone.

Lisa’s plot will reportedly turn deadly soon.  According to Soap Opera Digest, portrayer, Brianna Brown heads off the canvas soon.  Also on the way out are Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo (Brenda) and Tyler Christopher (Nikolas).  Tony Geary (Luke) is on his yearly vacation through the summer.  Word is Geary pre-taped some scenes so we will likely see him again before September.
