Carly makes an unforgivable mistake

Laura Wright (Carly, GH)This week, Carly actually outdid herself – she went too far ordering the hit on Franco. Because of Carly’s actions, Olivia was shot and seriously injured. At this point, we don’t know if the fair Olivia will survive.

I never thought I would see the day when Sonny would threaten Carly’s life and mean it. ‘If Olivia dies, you die,’ Sonny hissed to Carly. Somehow I believe Sonny meant every word of that threat. I think if Olivia dies, Sonny may just shoot Carly himself.

It kind of makes me wonder where the Olivia/Sonny relationship is headed. Olivia seems to still have feelings for Sonny. And Sonny clearly cares for Olivia. So if Olivia survives, will she reunite with Sonny?

As for the shooting, I think the more guilty party here is Shawn. He’s the one who pulled the trigger. And why in the world would Shawn take orders from Carly in the first place? I find it hard to believe that an intelligent man like Shawn would try to take Franco out on Carly’s word alone. Why didn’t Shawn call Sonny to confirm the hit? Shawn is very intelligent and capable, so why would he do such a thing? Seriously – would Jason shoot someone on Carly’s word? Absolutely not. So if anyone deserves to die, I think it’s Shawn.

Speaking of Shawn, I find it amusing that Alexis is suddenly questioning him. All of a sudden, Alexis finds Shawn’s ‘work’ with Sonny suspicious. Alexis has gone from one dysfunctional relationship to another – Sonny, Rick, Jerry, and now Shawn. She can’t seem to find a ‘normal’ man to latch onto.

Ok, so I admit that Roger Howarth’s version of Franco is starting to grow on me. But it still feels like this version of Franco is a completely different character. Howarth brings his unique humor to the formerly serious, dark, and uptight Franco. I still miss Todd, but I’m forever a fan of Roger Howarth.

In actor news, Roger Howarth will appear in at least two episodes of Showtime’s ‘Californication’ in 2014. ‘GH’ fans will fondly remember that Rick Springfield (Noah) also appeared on four episodes of the popular Showtime series in 2009.
