At first, the big Zacchara reveal was disappointing. Claudia tried to seduce Trevor and Anthony didn’t side with her by killing him? Then it got interesting when Claudia told Sonny she actually did have a sexual encounter with Trevor when she was 16! There’s more, I’m sure of it. Did Claudia have a child with Trevor too? Was that the real reason Anthony sent Claudia away? If so, where’s the kid? Who’s the kid? Do we already know him or her? I’m thinking we do. I’m thinking it’s a “him.”
Sonny and Claudia bonded in a sick sort of way. These two have so many similar issues. Both of them are definitely damaged. Sonny actually seemed to pity Claudia after she shared the information about Trevor.
We got quite a bit of Robin history this week. First, Robin and Sonny shared a few moments. These two have such a huge history. Sonny and Brenda introduced Robin and Stone. Robin got close to Sonny when Stone got sick. It makes sense that Robin and Sonny would be bonded for life. Sonny offering to “back” Patrick “off” for Robin was almost as funny as Anna’s bulletproof curtains. Then, Jason and Robin ran into each other outside of Kelly’s. Sometimes we forget what these two once meant to each other. We don’t see them interact very often but when we do, it’s worth the wait.
Carly’s going to find out about Connie if she digs deep enough. There’s a down side though. If Carly runs Kate out of town, won’t Sonny tell Jax about their moment in the limo? Why is it such a crime for Kate to kiss Jax anyway? Nothing even close to limo sex happened. Is Jason right in assuming that Carly has an ulterior motive for wanting to make Kate look bad? Does Carly want Jax to find out the truth? Maybe Carly’s guilt is driving her behavior. She’s punishing herself the only way she knows how. Her guilty conscience is driving her to behave in a way that will ultimately lead to her own demise.
Carly is over reacting to the kiss. It was a far cry from sex in the back of a limo. Carly made Jax feel guilty over a kiss bus she’s the real cheater! How does the woman sleep at night?
So Logan suddenly turned into a psycho? It wasn’t enough that he attacked Maxie? He had to go after Lulu – the supposed love of his life? Couldn’t he have just left town? It’s sad they way things went down with Logan. He’s been added to the list of whacked out veterans, which I don’t understand at all. I do think Josh Duhon did a fabulous job in his scenes Monday. His dying words to Lulu were, “you’ll never get over me.” That really does sum it up. Lulu killed Logan, which is something she will never get over. Logan truly had the last word on that one, didn’t he? Maybe this whole thing will bring Maxie and Lulu together?
The whole Logan murder is a clear case of self-defense on Lulu’s part. Why then did Lulu, Maxie, and Johnny cover it up? Why in the world did Johnny confess to murdering Logan? The guy broke down the door with an ax. That seems like pretty good proof of forced entry. Mac Scorpio’s own daughter was attacked. That should hold some pretty heavy weight in the case against Logan. I find it hard to believe that Scott could prosecute Lulu for murder. Johnny on the other hand may never see daylight again.
I have one problem with the story they spun to cover up the murder. After Jerry and company blew up the hotel lobby, didn’t Jax install a new security system? Aren’t there security cameras in the Metro Court? Wouldn’t they have captured Logan attacking Maxie? At the very least, they would provide a record of Logan returning to Crimson. What about security cameras outside of Johnny’s penthouse? They would prove that Lulu was there with Logan. It seems to me that it will be pretty easy to trace Logan’s last steps. What about the parking garage? There must be cameras there as well. Claudia and Johnny carried a dead body and put it in the trunk of a car. Again, wouldn’t the cameras have recorded that? Yes, yes it would. It would also have recorded Johnny and Claudia exchanging the license place. Claudia made a passing remark that she took care of the security footage in the garage but since she knows nothing about the attack on Maxie, that footage is still out there. I’m just saying.
Fear not, Jackal PI is on the case. Spinelli and Jason really do make a good team. Spinelli keeps telling Jason they should solve crimes together and I think the kid is on to something. The duo uncovered the truth about Ian and now they’re hot on the trail of Claudia’s connection to Logan’s murder. With all the crime and mayhem in Port Charles, Spinelli and Jason could make a small fortune.
As a 30-year fan of the show, I’m always glad to see veteran characters like Noah Drake come back. It’s purely selfish, but I’m very glad to see Rick Springfield again. We’ve been promised a summer story with Noah/Eli and Anna and I’m looking forward to it. The only thing better? That’s easy – it’s Robert and Jagger coming back to Night Shift next week.
