John McBain saves Sam but who was ‘Caleb?’

Michael Easton (John, GH)Is anyone else a bit confused about who Caleb really was? Was he king of the vampires or just a musician gone mad? And if Caleb was merely musician Steven Clay, what does that say about all that went on in the 'GH' spinoff 'Port Charles?'

Maybe Kevin was right and Lucy had a mental breakdown. That whole vampire thing could have been fabricated. Yes, Steven Clay played a vampire on stage. But, it’s possible that’s all it was – a stage persona.

That being said, how do we explain the ring? According to the professor, that ring belonged to the Morley family and it had great power. Of course it’s possible that Steven Clay did his homework and had a replica made.

As much as I loved watching our John McBain defeat the evil Caleb (or Steven, depending on what you believe to be true), I’m still a little skeptical. I really expected Caleb to turn into a bat and fly away when Lucy knelt beside him.

I love this smug Frisco Jones that has finally returned to town. And Frisco is more than just smug, he’s very funny and sarcastic – and he means business. Frisco’s reaction to meeting Spinelli was perfect. “That’s the father of my grandchild?” he asked Maxie with a wince. How I’ve missed you Frisco Jones – please don’t ever leave us again.

I really like the idea of Elizabeth and AJ. There’s just a tiny bit of Jason in AJ and that’s very appealing. And it’s time for Liz to find a man she can be happy with. AJ could be the one.

That being said, with Steven Webber’s upcoming exit via his arrest, Liz will need someone to lean on. That someone may as well be AJ.

In actor news, Julie Marie Berman (Lulu) announced via Twitter that she will soon leave the role that made her famous. Watch for Ingo Rademacher (Jax) on the new season of ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ Rademacher will dance with pro Kym Johnson. Rocker Rick Springfield will return to ‘GH’ next month according to ‘People.’ And there’s some buzz that fitness fanatic Richard Simmons may be on hand for the upcoming Nurses Ball. Longtime fans remember Richard’s many appearances on ‘GH’ as the aerobics instructor at the Campus Disco. The disco was the scene of the now famous Luke and Laura rape scene.

Greg Vaughan dedicated to being a man of the cloth

Greg Vaughan enjoys playing the holier than thou role of Father Eric Brady on Days of our Lives and says the character suits him just fine.

"You know, it really does. I'm enjoying this role" Vaughan said. "And I am a religious person. After all...I come from the bible belt of the country (Texas)."

The character of Eric was last seen on Days of our Lives about a 12 years ago, then played by Jensen Eckles (who now stars as FBI agent Dean Winchester on the CW's Supernatural). When the character left Salem, he was quite the "playboy." So who would of thought he'd return as a man of the cloth?
