Elizabeth hits her breaking point
They finally set Alexis up with a normal man!! Finally!! I mean Mac is as close to normal as you can get in Port Charles. He's handsome, honest, and he has a house and a job! Way to go, Alexis. And it's been forever since Mac's had any action. When was the last time he was on a date? Catherine Belle? How long ago WAS that? It's about time - Mac has lived the life of a monk long enough. Why didn't someone think of this pairing years ago?
So Elizabeth is three months pregnant. I'm not crazy about playing the "who's the daddy" game. I really hope the baby belongs to
Nikolas. It would make for some interesting interference from Helena. Imagine Elizabeth carrying a Cassadine heir. Most of all, I hope Lucky gets his head on straight and stops drinking. His kids need him and so does Elizabeth, no matter who fathered her child. Lucky seems to have finally seen the light. I think he realizes that no matter what, Liz will be in his life. But the drinking has to stop. Otherwise, Lucky is of no use to Liz or their children. He's just an accident waiting to happen.More tears and another standing ovation for Jonathan Jackson's performance this week. It was so emotional watching Lucky talk Elizabeth down from that ledge like only he could. No other man could have that impact on Liz, not even Nikolas. Honestly, the only other actor who can affect my emotions like Jonathan Jackson can is Genie Francis (Laura). Jonathan Jackson is simply a beautiful actor.
Speaking of tears - one of the many tearjerker moments of the week was Patrick's visit with Elizabeth. The way he sat on the floor with her and talked so soothingly was very sweet and sincere, not to mention emotional. Who knew Patrick Drake had that in him? Patrick's grown so much as a person since we first met him. I love this sweet, compassionate side of him. Liz needs a strong male friend in her life right now. I think Patrick is her answer.
As much as I like Dante with Lulu, it's kind of strange to hear them talk about "dating." They went on one date to the opera. It isn't as if they've been really dating for months or even weeks.
Make no mistake; I'm not a JaSam fan. But I had to laugh at Jason telling Sam about the gun he was planning on buying for her. That was the kind of foreplay and pillow talk only Jason Morgan can pull off.
Can anyone sling an insult like Helena? I doubt it. Her comments about Elizabeth "whoring herself out," and that comment about the kids being illegitimate ("... 3 little urchins by 3 different men? And you not married to a single one? You're ripe for welfare"), were so cutting and such classic Helena. It was obvious that Helena and her comments got under Liz's skin.
Lucky FINALLY heard some good fatherly advice from Luke. I think the last time Luke was truly a father was when Lulu had her abortion. It's nice to see him take on the parental role for Lucky finally. They've had such distance between them since Lucky became an adult. It's nice to see father and son growing close again.
Exciting news on the actor front - Soap Opera Digest online http://soapoperadigest.com/news/breaking/ reports that Robin Christopher (Skye) will be back in Port Charles at the end of March.
