The Nurses Ball begins, but who will Felicia choose?

Jack Wagner (Frisco, GH)After much anticipation, the 2013 Nurses Ball finally began this past week. And it began with an impressive number showcasing some of our favorite ‘GH’ nurses.

It was fun seeing ‘Dancing with the Stars’ pro Maks Chmerkovskiy playing the Metro Court handyman turned dance choreographer in the mix. And what a spectacular routine Maks danced with Kelly Monaco (Sam).

And speaking of performances, Jack Wagner (Frisco) still has it! Wagner sang a perfect version of ‘All I need’ to his beloved Felicia. His voice was perfect – better than perfect. And Frisco topped the performance with a marriage proposal. So who will Felicia choose – grounded, dependable Mac? Or the adventurous and generally absent father of her children – Frisco?

If Felicia has any sense (and she may not, given her decisions in the past), she will choose Mac. The man has been there for Felicia no matter what. Even after all that’s happened between them, Mac truly loves Felicia. Mac is handsome, smart, and ambitious. He’s one of the few ‘normal’ men in town. Any woman would be lucky to have him. So come on Felicia – make the right choice!

It’s too bad that Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) didn’t make an appearance. But how wonderful it was to see Nicholas (Tyler Christopher).

It’s all good – so many favorite core characters from the past have returned and will hopefully stick around for a while. And it’s so wonderful that the writers are paying tribute to the rich history of ‘General Hospital.’ What a beautiful way to ring in the soap’s 50th anniversary.

In actor news, watch for Rick Springfield’s (Noah) performance at the Nurses Ball this week. Springfield will perform his hit ‘Jesse’s Girl’ to pay tribute to the soap. Emme Rylan will debut as the recast Lulu this week as well. Ingo Rademacher (Jax) will dance again this week on ABC’s ‘Dancing with the Stars.’

Days of our Lives stars walk the red carpet giving the fans everything they ever dreamed of. The annual Day of Days recently held at Universal City Walk in Universal City, California; brings fans from across the country and even the globe to meet their favorite star. And what makes this event special is that it is not one star, but the whole cast.

The day begins in the morning and ends late afternoon with a special treat of the next episode that did not yet air that is shown to the fans on a big Trinitron screen. I must point out that that is also a press day with many reporters from different publications and outlets in the media.

The event is not only a day for the fans, but the stars as well. Deidre Hall (Marlena) said that every year she looks forward to the event. "I do. I love this. Just look around. It is phenomenal," she said. "To see people like this all gathered is great. It is hard to describe unless you are here."
