All My Children

The bullet from Hannah’s high-powered rifle was meant for Kendall. Or was it meant for Zach?  Maybe the both of them. Too bad it’s Ryan who bit the bullet.  Meanwhile, Annie finds out that Richie’s life is not over – yet.  A bone marrow transplant could save him and her bone marrow – as his sister – would be the most viable.  Naturally, she can’t believe this news.  Will she choose to do the right thing and save her brother’s life?  As she is reeling over this latest development in the rocky relationship some could call sibling rivalry, she gets word that Ryan’s been shot!  Luckily, Ryan is released from the hospital in one piece.  Experiencing what one could call a born-again epiphany, Ryan shows a new appreciation for life. He runs out into the snow and joyously strips to his undies.  Get ready for an eyeful of abs, ladies!  At the same time, the woman who shot Ryan, Hannah, gets her ex, Zach, to meet her and then pulls a gun on him!  Why did you go, Zach?  Shouldda stayed home with Kendall, Spike and Ian!  It seems that Hannah is furious with Zach for leaving her oh so long ago.  She insists that he saves every woman but her.  After she comes clean and tells him that she did indeed sleep with his father, she hurls herself off a cliff!  He reaches for her but slips.  Kendall and Aidan arrive in time to see Zack slipping away.  Kendall had just thought she’d lost Zach.  Will she lose him for good this time?  Keep that remote glued to All My Children this week and find out.

Roger Howarth (Paul, As the World Turns)As the World Turns

Meg has news for Paul. She believes that Craig is not the father of her baby – despite the DNA results.  What leads her to believe this?  More importantly, is Meg on the money?  You betcha, thanks to Rosanna’s altering the DNA test results.  At the same time, Lily resorts to self medication when she pops a pill after telling Lucinda that she and Dusty are his-tor-ree.  Could Lily be on the road to chemical dependency?  Speaking of failed relationships in Oakdale, Katie decides she wants to be in a serious relationship again.  Can you say firefighter, anyone, or is he simply a casual dalliance?  Shortly thereafter, Carly is caught with her pants down – well, not exactly.  She’s just out of the shower and wearing nuttin’ but a towel when Sam bursts in.  Talk about an appreciative stare.  Then, it’s not long before Parker overhears Sam and Cowboy Jack discussing Carly.  Is Carly’s appearance in the towel the topic of conversation?  Find out when you tune in to As the World Turns this week.

Bold and the Beautiful

Now that a heartbroken Donna has agreed to stay away from the love of her life, Eric, and lets him down the only way she knows how, Stephanie keeps her end of the bargain with the Logans and does not finger either Stephen or Storm.  As Stephen heads off into the sunset, the Logan family shares a tearful goodbye.  But what about Storm?  Can he live with himself for long knowing that he has caused his sister, Donna, such heartache?  While on the other side of town, Brooke fills Nick in on some of the events of the past few days.  They then share a tender moment as an unnoticed Taylor looks on.  Will Taylor misunderstand what she’s witnessing, or does she sense something more smoldering between her husband and Brooke?  Watch the Bold and the Beautiful this week to find out.

Days of our Lives

EJ has faced off with his father and he can’t wait to tell Sami how he stood up to Stefano.  Is she impressed?  More importantly, how will she react when he asks her to fight by his side?  At the same time, Lucas is about to enter his plea in the shooting of EJ case.  He is planning to plead guilty, even as Kate and Philip try to persuade him not to do it.  Will he follow his own sense of right or wrong, or listen to Kate and Phil?  The week winds down as Chloe hangs out with Shawn and Claire.  Needless to say the poop is going to hit the proverbial fan when Belle finds them all together.  Will she approach the situation with grace and decorum or totally blow her stack?  We’re betting it’s the latter but there’s only one way to find out.   Keep it parked in front of Days of our Lives all week.

General Hospital

It’s an explosive week on General Hospital.  Fires are started and bombs are present – just an average time in Port Charles.  First up, Liz and Jason have arranged a dalliance, but she cannot find a babysitter.  After a frantic, but futile, search, Sam offers to sit for Elizabeth, but an incredulous Liz tells Sam to bug off. Not in so many words, but she does say that the farther away Sam is from her children, the happier Liz would be.  Maybe Liz should have taken Sam up on her offer to baby sit.  Meantime, since she didn’t, Sam becomes enraged and tells Carly the truth about Jason fathering Jake. Is Carly going to take this news with dignity, or does she have a few choice words for her good friend, Jason?  Shortly thereafter, Liz returns from her date to spend a wild and wooly day with her children.  Unbeknownst to Elizabeth, Cam finds some matches and while she is upstairs with Jake, he lights one and tosses it into a garbage pail.  Does it start a big fire?  We’re not at liberty to spill all the beans, but we can share that whatever happens next scares the begeesus out of Cam and he runs out of the house.  Elizabeth goes after him, leaving Jake upstairs.  But as she runs out of the house, the front door slams shut and she is locked out!  Is Jake’s life in danger?  While over at the hospital, a patient is turned away because he does not have insurance.  He returns, demanding that his wife get care, and this time he is not turned away so fast. Why?  He’s strapped to a bomb!  The week winds down as two unlikely rivals join forces to track down LuLu. Who teams up?  More importantly, will they find her before it is too late?  Keep your eyes peeled to General Hospital this week to find out.

Guiding Light

The explosion was horrific and Bill was hurt.  Are his injuries life threatening?  We don’t think so, but they will have a major impact on the quality of his life.  How will Bill and those he loves and cares about deal with his recovery?  At the same time, Coop is about to make a startling admission, but he doesn’t quite get the chance.  Why not?  More importantly, to what was he about to admit?  Could it have something to do with the explosion?  While on the other side of Springfield, there’s trouble in paradise.  Cassie is angry with Josh. What has he done this time?  Will he be able to talk his way out of it?  Speaking of Josh, he and Reva work their magic and finally get Will to confess to pushing Edmund off the loft.  Is Will relived that the truth has come out?  What are his chances of being prosecuted for his part in Edmund’s fall?  The week winds down as Mel and Jeffrey reach a new understanding in regard to their business. Now that Jeffrey is returning to the DA’s office do they part ways as business partners?  You’ll get the skinny by tuning in to Guiding Light this week.

One Life to Live

It’s pretty much the Marcie show this week.  The jig is up when Marcie comes face to face with Viki in at the café in Paris, Texas. Not only is Viki’s hideaway away from Llanview discovered, her cover is blown.  Gone will go her days as a waitress at the café, after all, she’s a rich woman from PA.  Imagine when she finds out that her new boyfriend, Charlie, is hanging out at her arch enemy’s abode in Llanview!  Meanwhile, Marcie must deal with her encounter with Viki.  How?  By taking her hostage, that’s how.  Especially after Todd and John follow Marcie to the café.  Then, get this!  Marcie’s bag of money and passports are gone and she becomes even more desperate. At the same time, Viki’s heart trouble starts acting up and she is without her heart pills.  Marcie makes demands – she wants a plane to take her and Tommy out of the country.  Viki’s condition worsens and Michael convinces Marcie and the cops to allow him to help her.  He enters the café and is reunited with Marcie and Tommy once again.  After a heartfelt and tearful reunion, he attempts to get Marcie to do the right thing. Will he be able to convince her to let Viki go and stop running?  While back in Llanview, Jared is lip locked with Natalie’s sister!  Is Jessica playing Tess?  Find out this week on One Life to Live.

Passions

With all that’s been happening in Harmony of late, this week will get back to some soap opera basics, namely lots of love and romance. Will the right couples be involved?  Guess that depends on your couples preferences.  LOL.  Here’s what we found out.   Esme and Julian spend a lot of time with each other.  First they talk about being together, then they discuss their love lives.  Will they decide to take their relationship to the next level?  At the same time, Gwen plans a romantic night with Ethan. Will she get to see it through or will something happen to interrupt her plans?  It’s Harmony, so you never can tell. Just be sure to tune in to Passions all week to find out.

Young and the Restless

With all their scheming and conniving, Gloria and Kevin are in for a shocker when the tables turn on them this week.  Does Jeffrey get wise to their plan?  At the same time, thanks to Nikki’s accidental confession to Victor regarding his innocence, their relationship could be destroyed forever.  Is there anything either of them can do to repair the damage?  While on the other side of town, April Stevens arrives back in Genoa City. Seems that she’s concerned about her daughter, Heather. But why?  Does she have good reason?  Oh – and John’s back, too. What words of wisdom will he impart to Jack this time?  It’s easy to find out. Just keep it tuned to the Young and the Restless all week.

Behind the Scenes on Days of our Lives: Hair and makeup

"Hey! It's a rough job, but somebody has to do it." That is how Nicky Schillace, head of the hair and makeup department at Days of our Lives, sums up his job.

And what a job to have! One can only imagine what it is like to do hair and makeup on some of the most beautiful women like Deidre Hall (Marlena) or Kristian Alfonso (Hope), or those hot guys like James Scott (EJ) or Galen Gering (Rafe).

Schillace has been with Days of our Lives for about nine months, and incidentally he is the real-life husband of Lauren Koslow (Kate). Oh yes! He whimpers that he never instructs her what to do with makeup, and why should he? She is a stunning natural beauty.
