Fall kicks off with a bang on ABC Daytime. Five popular stars take center stage beginning the week of September 29, as jailbreaks, high stakes, a shipwreck and a mock trial command the ABC Daytime canvas. Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer) and Ingo Rademacher (Jax) return to "General Hospital" and welcome former "Port Charles" star Kelly Monaco in the newly created role of Samantha McCall. Jacob Young, formerly Lucky Spencer on "General Hospital," joins the cast of "All My Children" as JR Chandler, and Michael Easton, the deliciously seductive vampire Caleb Morley of "Port Charles," joins the cast of "One Life to Live" as the mysterious John McBain.
Ingo Rademacher's return to "General Hospital" premieres on September 30, followed by Anthony Geary and Kelly Monaco on October 1. Jacob Young's first airdate on "All My Children" will be October 2, and Michael Easton makes his debut on "One Life to Live" on October 1.
Here's how the stories play out...
Two Brothers. The best of friends. Their lives torn apart.
On All My Children, JR (Jacob Young) returns to Pine Valley. Following the tragic death of his mother, Dixie Martin, JR left town to escape the clutches of his overbearing father, Adam Chandler (David Canary). During his time away, JR has matured into a self assured man prepared to deal with life and his father. Those closest to JR will soon learn the source of his inspiration and change in personality. When JR introduces his new girlfriend to his family and friends, they'll find themselves at odds over their diverse reactions to this young woman, who goes by the name of Babe (Alexa Havins) especially his step-brother, Jamie (Justin Bruening).
A handsome stranger. A case of mistaken identity. A hidden agenda.
On One Life to Live, mysterious pool scout John McBain (Michael Easton) arrives in Llanview and seeks out Natalie Buchanan (Melissa Archer) to participate in a major pool tournament. Natalie's fiancÈ, Cristian (David Fumero), takes an immediate dislike to him. John soon mistakes Walker Laurence (Trevor St. John) for his lookalike boss, Flynn (Trevor St. John), and his presence becomes a major problem for Walker and his future happiness. John's true interest in Natalie becomes very apparent and he reveals a dark side in his determination to get what he wants. Has Mr. McBain revealed his entire agenda, or is he hiding an even bigger secret?
An adventure at sea. One wild woman. A cry for justice.
On General Hospital, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) sets off on a thrilling adventure in a desperate attempt to save his father. Meanwhile, in an effort to reverse her family's bad fortune, the adventurous and sexy Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco) makes a daring escape from jail and collides with Jax. What ensues is an adventure for both Sam and Jax, filled with flirtatious rivalry as the two compete for the same prize. The high stakes competition for a legendary winning poker hand lands the two on Sam's rickety old "yacht," and the two will be forced to work together for survival when they wind up shipwrecked. Meanwhile, Luke (Anthony Geary) returns to Port Charles and has an extreme reactionupon learning that his son Lucky (Greg Vaughan) has joined the police force. In an effort to seek justice for Summer's murder, Luke takes matters into his own hands by kidnapping his arch enemy, Stefan Cassadine (Stephen Nichols), and conducting a mock trial before the entire town.
