Entering the home stretch of HBO's knock-out series

Emmy-Winning Hit HBO Comedy Series Airs the Last 8  Episodes of It’s 6th and Final Season beginning January 4, 2004

Soapdom’s Got Your First Looks!

Check back to this page each week for your sneak peek at the next new show!

Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda are back for their final fling when HBO’s
Emmy Award®-winning hit comedy series SEX AND THE CITY returns with the final eight new episodes of this season’s 20 new shows, beginning SUNDAY, JAN. 4 (9:00-9:30 p.m. ET) with the episode entitled “Let There Be Light,” followed by other shows debuting on subsequent Sundays through Feb 22.

The remaining eight brand new episodes will close the series with a bang.  First of all, Carrie’s intriguing relationship with Aleksandr Petrovsky, an enigmatic, world-famous artist, heats up. Meanwhile, Samantha must decide what Smith means to her while dealing with her own personal crisis; Charlotte and Harry forge ahead to pursue their dream of having a child; and Miranda and Steve begin their life together again.

As a special new feature, Soapdom.com will bring you sneak peeks, along with your first looks at the episodes in our Sex and the City Photo Galleries from now until the season ends.

To back track –

A candid, comic view of sex and relationships, SEX AND THE CITY stars Sarah
Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, a New York-based writer who explores and experiences the unique world of Manhattan’s dating scene, chronicling the mating habits of single New Yorkers. Executive produced by Michael Patrick King, the series also stars cast regulars Kim Cattrall as PR executive Samantha Jones, who’s seen -- and done -- it all; Kristin Davis as Charlotte York, still trying to hold on to the idea of happily ever after; and Cynthia Nixon as corporate lawyer and mother Miranda Hobbes, a pragmatist trying to balance the idea of love with the realities of life. Mikhail Baryshnikov (as Aleksandr Petrovsky), Mario Cantone (Anthony Marentino), David Eigenberg (Steve Brady), Willie Garson (Stanford Blatch), Evan Handler (Harry Goldenblatt) and Jason Lewis (Smith Jerrod) also return.

To catch everyone up on this last season, HBO ran the first 12 episodes – which debuted over the summer -- in a back-to-back marathon on New Year’s Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003.  Those episodes were titled:  “To Market, To Market,” “Great Sexpectations,” “The Perfect Present,” “Pick-A-Little, Talk-A-Little,” “Lights, Camera, Relationship,” “Hop, Skip, and a Week,” “The Post-It Always Sticks Twice,” “The Catch,” “A Woman’s Right to Shoes,” “Boy, Interrupted,” “The Domino Effect” and “One.”

Winner of the Prime Time Emmy® for Outstanding Comedy Series -- the first cable show to take top honors in the comedy series category -- SEX AND THE CITY also received Golden Globe Awards for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy, and Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, for Sarah Jessica Parker, taking both honors three years in a row, as well as Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, for Kim Cattrall. The show also received two Screen Actors Guild awards: Parker, for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Comedy Series, and all four stars, for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Sex and the City was created by Darren Star; executive produced by Michael
Patrick King, John Melfi, Cindy Chupack, Jenny Bicks and Sarah Jessica Parker; based on the book by Candace Bushnell.
