Actress Andrea Evans, who currently stars as Rebecca Hotchkiss on NBC-TV’s “Passions,” will be heard starring in two episodes of the nationally syndicated “The Twilight Zone” radio series this spring.

On April 14th, Andrea will portray Liz Powell in the “Twenty Two” episode.  In this show, she is terrified by a recurring nightmare involving the number 22.  Her doctor reassures her that it’s just a bad dream, but she learns that the truth is quite different.

On June 2nd, Ms. Evans stars as clutzy usherette Agnes Grepp in the “Cavender Is Coming”episode. In this one, she is “rescued” from poverty by her guardian angel, but her newfound life isn’t what she bargained for.  An unusual aspect of this particular show is that it is a light-hearted, heartwarming story as opposed to most of the other “Twilight Zones” which took on a serious tone.  The shows were produced in Chicago and, although Evans is Chicago born, she currently resides in Southern California.  But, a recent starring role in the Chicago engagement of “The Vagina Monologues” made it possible for her to record “Twilight Zone” episodes there.  Hosting the dramas is Stacy Keach.

Among the other actors participating in the series are Jason Alexander, Ed Begley, Jr., Kim Fields, Steve Guttenberg, Kate Jackson, Frankie Muniz, Lou Diamond Phillips, John Ratzenberger, Jane Seymour and Blair Underwood.

The series, based on Rod Serling’s TV series, is produced by Falcon Picture Group, LLC, with Carl Amari serving as Executive Producer.  Science fiction writer Dennis Etchison has adapted Mr. Serling’s television scripts into modern day 60 minute radio formats.  Falcon plans to produce 150 “Twilight Zones,” which, in addition to being syndicated to almost one hundred U.S. radio stations and the Armed Forces Radio & Television Service, as well as being heard on Sirius Satellite Radio, will be made available for consumer sales on audio cassettes and CDs.  The “Cavender Is Coming” episode, along with three other “Twilight Zones,” will be available in stores starting on Fathers Day in June and for order online starting February 1st at www.twilightzoneradio.com  “Twenty Two” will be available sometime next year.
