After speaking with Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie, GH) about her role as Spokesperson for the American Heart Association's "Power of Love" campaign, Soapdom signed on to support the campaign.
"Jackie was so passionate about this cause," said Soapdom, Inc. CEO, Linda Marshall-Smith, "we just had to participate in some way. Both Jackie and I agreed that soap fans are the best! "
The "Power of Love" campaign runs through the month of February. For every Soapdom Free Member who upgrades to a 6-month paid membership, or for every new member who subscribes for 6 months, Soapdom will donate $2.00 of your $19.95 membership fee to the AHA.
"If you've been toying with becoming a paid subscriber, now is the time to do it," said Marshall-Smith. "Not only will you be gaining all access to all of Soapdom anytime, you will help put a stop to a disease that will eventually kill one out of every 2 women." Soapdom began supporting the Power of Love campaign on February 6, 2003. Any 6-month paid memberships from February 6-28, 2003 will be included in the donation.
When Marshall-Smith called Zeman back to share with her the fact that Soapdom was supporting the efforts of the campaign, Zeman said it made her day. Her special message to all of you sums up her sentiments: "Thank you Soapdom Members for your good intentions," said Zeman. "Thank you for taking this important action to support the American Heart Association!"
