Awards Will Be Presented During May 15th Ceremonies in New York City and Los Angeles

The National Television Academy announced an all-star line-up of presenters for the 31st Annual Creative Craft Daytime Emmy Awards. Awards will be presented to a distinguished group of creative arts professionals during simultaneous black-tie ceremonies held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City and at the Grand Ballroom at Hollywood and Highland in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 15, 2004.

Presenters participating in the evening’s festivities in New York include: All My Children’s Eva LaRue, John Callahan, Michael B. Jordan and Tanisha Lynn; As the World Turns’ Lesli Kay, Agim Kaba, Jessica Dunphy and Jennifer Ferrin; Guiding Light’s Paul Anthony Stewart, Stephanie Gatschet, Jerry verDorn and Crystal Hunt; One Life to Live’s Bree Williamson, Jay Wilkinson, Renee Goldsberry and Hillary Smith; Sesame Street’s Bob McGrath; and This Old House’s Kevin O'Connor with renowned celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse as emcee for the ceremony at the Marriot Marquis.

In Los Angeles, presenters include: Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek; The Ellen Degeneres Show’s Tony Okungobowa; The Bold and the Beautiful’s John McCook and Joe Mascolo; Passions’ Heidi Mueller and Silvana Arias; All My Children’s William deVry; The Young and the Restless’ Michelle Stafford, Keith Hamilton Cobb and Melody Thomas Scott; Days of our Lives’ Farah Fath and Eric Winter; General Hospital’s Tamara Braun and Alicia Leigh Willis;Duck Dodgers’ Joe Alaskey and Bob Bergen; and The Price Is Right’s Barker’s Beauties Rachel Reynolds and Brandi Sherwood as Emmy Girls. Soap Talk’s Lisa Rinna and Ty Treadway will host the ceremony.

Awards are presented in such categories as: Directing in a Talk Show; Casting Director for a Drama Series; Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design; Writing in a Children’s series; Costume Design/Styling; Multiple Camera Editing; Music Direction and Composition; Direction in a Children’s Special; Outstanding Children’s Series; Outstanding Pre-School series and Outstanding Service Show.

Emmy Awards are presented to Daytime television programs that are broadcast nationally between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 p.m.  The eligibility period for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards was January 1, 2003 – December 31, 2003.

Daytime Emmy Awards in 18 additional categories, primarily for performances and programs, including the Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented at the 31st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday, May 21 (9-11 PM/ET) and aired on NBC.

The 31st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards is a presentation of the National Television Academy in cooperation with the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
