Soapdom began covering the Daytime Emmys in 1999. We had just launched as the first version of this site, then called Turtle-Run.com, mere weeks before, and off I headed to the bright lights of the Big Apple and my very first Daytime Emmys.  And boy, what an Emmy event it was, too. It was the night 19-time nominated Susan Lucci (Erica, AMC) won her first Daytime Emmy.

From that historic moment through this year's most recent Emmy events, it has been our privilige and pleasure to bring you the most interesting and informative information possible on the Emmy festivities. There's tons of Inside the Bubble™ coverage as well as our own critiques of the broadcasts, the fashions and so much more.

So what are you waiting for?  Take a stroll down memory lane and revisit the Emmys from 1999 to the present.  Enjoy!

Emmy 1999

This was the first time we covered the Daytime Emmys.  We had only recently launched our web presence under its original name, Turtle-Run.com.  And of all the Emmys to cover as a first, this one was most special. It was the one where All My Children's Susan Lucci (Erica) won her first Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series, after 19 nominations and 18 losses.  It was a very special Emmy ceremony indeed!  Relive the moments with us now at Soapdom.com!  Includes exclusive photos!
