Blake Berris (Nick, Days of our Lives)Last night, was very balmy in Los Angeles, not to mention a typically heavy trafficThursday evening rush hour. But that didn't stop the stars of daytime from coming out to the home base of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and mingling to celebrate the nominees of the 36th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Of course, yours truly suffered her second most embarrassing moment ever when Days of our Lives Blake

Berris gently removed a piece of lettuce from just beneath my lower lip.  Looks like you can dress me up, send me to these events, but don't have me eat anything.  And this just after I was speaking to the president of NBC daytime!  Thanks Blake for getting that lettuce before I spoke to anyone else. LOL

Soapdom friend, and former Soap Opera Weekly reporter, Deanna Barnert caught the evening in video.  Check it out.

Days of our Lives Guy Wilson: playing Will is a dream come true

The day Guy Wilson stepped in to play Will Horton, a beloved gay character on Days of our Lives, it was a day that his dream came true. "Oh without a doubt. I remember driving in and pulling into the lot. I kept thinking this is cool!" Wilson said. "Then when I got on the soundstage with the cameras and the lights started going on, I was like getting a little nervous. It was all surreal."

Did he have reason to be nervous? Of course! Not only is Will a coveted role to the show, but the part was previously played by Chandler Massey, who has won two Emmy Awards portraying Will. But for Wilson it is a job going to work. Massey left this past August to go back to college.
