Plus, as part of an integrated show sponsorship, Kmart will unveil the Kmart Style Lounge, featuring backstage visits with winners and presenters throughout the awards ceremony. Earlier this spring, four style experts had been chosen by the national retailer to serve as “Kmart Style Showoffs,” or fashion ambassadors for the brand, given their ability to create stylish ensembles. The four “Kmart Style Showoffs” will appear in interstitials throughout the broadcast with two “Daytime Emmy Style” contest winners, to be chosen online at abc.com/daytime/kmart. The footage will document the ambassadors as they prepare for the big night—selecting wardrobes and fashion accessories, as well as choosing hairstyles and makeup applications.
“The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” will be broadcast live from Hollywood’s famed Kodak Theater and will be hosted by Sherri Shepherd (“The View”) and Cameron Mathison (Ryan, “All My Children”). White Cherry Entertainment will produce, with Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss serving as executive producers. The awards recognize outstanding achievement in all fields of daytime television production and are presented to individuals and programs broadcast from 2:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. during the 2007 calendar year. “The 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” is a presentation of the National Television Academy in cooperation with the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
