On Wednesday, February 8, 2006, ABC Daytime's The View will host the Daytime Emmy nominations announcement ceremonies for the second time. One of daytime's biggest and brightest stars will join stars from all three major broadcast networks to help announce the nominees. They include:  AMC's five-time Emmy Award winner David Canary (Adam/Stuart), Alexa Havins (Babe) and Emmy Award winner Jacob Young (JR); OLTL's Emmy Award winner Robin Strasser (Dorian), Michael Easton (John), and Renee Goldsberry (Evangeline); GH's Scott Clifton (Dillon), Emmy Award winner Kimberly McCullough (Robin); DOOL's Austin Peck (Austin), Passions Heidi Meuller (Kay), GL's Bradley Cole (Jeffrey); and, ATWT's Terri Colombino (Katie).

Additionally, The View co-hosts Barbara Walters, Meredith Viera, Star Jones Reynolds, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck will also partake in the announcement of nominees in all the major categories.

In March 2003, the 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards nominations were announced live on The View. This first-ever one-hour national television talk show event likewise featured a stunning lineup of daytime stars from all three major broadcast networks.
