For the First Time, The Daytime Emmy Awards Were Held in Hollywood at the Famed Kodak Theatre

 

The 33rd Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards were presented by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre on Friday, April 28, 2006 and telecast live on the ABC Television Network (8-11 PM, ET; tape delay to the West Coast).The black-tie gala ceremony, which marked the first time in its 33-year history that the Daytime Emmy Awards were presented in Hollywood, was hosted by Tom Bergeron and Kelly Monaco with musical performances by General Hospital's Rick Springfield and One Life to Live's Renee Goldsberry, Kathy Brier and Kerry Butler.


General Hospital broke its own record, winning Outstanding Drama Series for the ninth time.  Guiding Light took away four of the top honors.

General Hospital’s Lisa LoCicero Gets Up Close and Personal with Her Michigan Fans

I don't head to downtown Detroit often, but this past Friday was an exception. Why would I brave the single digit temperature and the downtown traffic? Because General Hospital's Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) was in town for a fan event.

LoCicero returned to her home state of Michigan for a meet and greet at the North American International Auto Show at Detroit's Cobo Center.
