Nominees Announced on The View, Wednesday, March 12, 2003 11 am -12 noon, ET.

ABC Daytime stars Rebecca Budig (Greenlee, AMC) and Michael E. Knight (Tad, AMC), Melissa Archer (Natalie, OLTL) and John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex, OLTL), Alicia Leigh Willis (Courtney, GH) and Rick Hearst (Ric, GH), and Erin Hershey Presley (Alison, PC) and Brian Gaskill (Rafe, PC) will join Lesli Kay (Molly, ATWT), Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny, GL), Alison Sweeney (Sami, DOOL), and James Hyde (Sam, PAS) on The View, Wednesday, March 12, 2003 to help announce the nominees for the 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

(Roscoe Born (Mitch, OLTL) who was originally scheduled to participate, is no longer scheduled.  John-Paul Lavoisier (Rex, OLTL) will be filling in for Born.)

The View co-hosts Barbara Walters, Meredith Vieira, Star Jones and Joy Behar will host the festivities and announce one major category during this first-ever, live, one-hour national television talk show event.  Invited to sit in as their guest expert is Soap Opera Digest / Soap Opera Weekly's Executive Editor, Carolyn Hinsey.  Hinsey is a newspaper journalist who joined Soap Opera Digest in 1992, where she delivers her insight and wit to millions of soap fans weekly in "It's Only My Opinion" (Soap Opera Digest) and "Dueling Divas" (Soap Opera Weekly).  A regular contributor to soap's popular culture segments on radio and television, Ms. Hinsey's television appearances include Politically Incorrect, CNN, Fox News, SOAPnet's Unforgettable Weddings and SoapTalk.

The 30th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on ABC on Friday, May 16.  The ceremony will be broadcast from New York City’s Radio City Music Hall from 8-11 PM, ET.
