Episode #11239----Sami discovers the note sent by the kidnapper. After yelling at EJ for not telling her sooner, Sami wants to tell Rafe. EJ argues that no one is supposed to know, especially not Rafe. At the same time, Rafe tells Arianna that he's going crazy trying to find leads on Sydney's whereabouts. He goes to the DiMera mansion to find EJ and Sami arguing. Sami almost tells him about the ransom note, but Rafe receives a call about a lead on Sydney. While Rafe takes the call in another room, EJ advises Sami to not tell Rafe, but she can do what she wants. She always does. EJ leaves to attend to some business and Rafe reenters. Will Sami tell all?

Chloe confronts Brady about hearing from Daniel that Arianna's a drug dealer. Brady convinces Chloe that what he heard about Arianna is only a false rumor, but after Chloe leaves, Brady realizes Arianna's secret is slowly getting out. Later, Arianna tries to push things along with Troy, but she gets nowhere while Brady confronts Victor for spreading Arianna's secret. Victor rebuffs Brady and predicts a hard end for Arianna. After his meeting with Arianna, Troy meets with EJ and realizes that his phone is gone just as Arianna finds it.

Vivian explains what she has learned about Carly's child in more detail with Victor. Meanwhile, Hope sees Bo and Carly kissing. Deeply hurt by this, she decides to interrupt them and confronts Bo. Carly leaves for the hospital only to be confronted by Vivian. She gives Vivian a piece of her mind, and Vivian is pleased to know that she's getting to Carly. At the same time, Bo and Hope have it out about their marriage and Carly. Hope makes it clear that she thinks that Bo, Carly, and her secret can go to hell. Hope returns to the Kiriakis mansion and overhears Vivian talking to Victor about Carly's secret while a shaken Carly returns to Bo.

Philip comes upon Nathan and Melanie's tense interaction just after Melanie rebuked Nathan for suggesting that things are going too fast with her and Philip. Nathan leaves and Philip follows him to makes things clear. Nathan is strong, but Philip's words seem to truly end thoughts of him and Melanie being together. Meanwhile, Melanie insists to Maggie that she knows what she is doing regarding being with Philip, but has a hard time convincing even herself. Later, Lexie urges Nathan to make his feelings clear to Melanie while Philip proposes to Melanie that they elope.

Pretending to be Gabi's new best friend, Mia gets to know Gabi. They go to Maggie's house, and Gabi expresses interest in volunteering at the hospital. Maggie overhears and would be delighted to get Gabi involved. Mia blurts out that she too wants to volunteer. After Gabi leaves, Maggie tries to get Mia to open up, and Mia explodes with anger about her pent up feelings towards her mother.
