Days of our Lives Sneak Peeks Week of December 24, 2007

{mosimage}It’s Christmas in Salem and you know what that means. It’s another Horton family gathering as everyone joins Alice to hang Christmas ornaments. Will they be able to leave their troubles outside the door and come together in the spirit of the season and share a happy holiday, or will the trials and tribulations of recent events leave a sour taste in the mouths of everyone?

At the same time, it’s over to the DiMera’s as Stefano tells EJ that he has a plan. Not that “having a plan” is such an unusual announcement from someone like Stefano, but we can’t help but wonder what he has up his sleeve this time. Whatever it is does E.J. jump on board, or advise his father to rethink things?

While on the other side of Salem, Belle steps up to the plate and publicly denounces Philip. Ouch, that’s gonna sting. How will he take the news? Meanwhile, as Stephanie confides her secret in Kayla. Marlena lays into Chloe. What will Marlena demand from the recently returned Chloe? We can’t say for certain, but we have a sneaking suspicion that Marlena will be grilling Chloe about what really happened to Brady. We’re betting Marlena wants to get at the truth. See if we’re right when you tune into Days of our Lives this week.

Oh and great news, Days fans. Days of our Lives will air a new episode as usual on Christmas Day, but will be pre-empted the following week. Click here for the complete list of holiday pre-emptions.

Past Blast

Days of our Lives makes history with first gay male wedding

The big day finally has come! Days of our Lives made history, and it was no April fools joke. The show is known for its long standing reputation for having storylines that are firsts, or tackling controversial subjects, or going out on a limb. I mean who can forget being possessed by the devil? Well! The show just aired the first gay male wedding making the first such event in daytime television.

The story was handled impeccably, and done tastefully. The same sex relationship has been moving slowing through trials and tribulations for the last several years.

First there was the acknowledging who you are. Then the accepting, and finally the coming out. And now the jubilant wedding of the duo known as WilSon. Will Horton (Guy Wilson) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) is taking the relationship into orbit, or like the old original Star Trek show said, 'to go where no man has gone before,' at least not on a daytime drama.
