Philadelphia fans, come on out and build a house with stars from Days! NBC's daytime drama "Days of our Lives" is partnering with Habitat for Humanity, Philadelphia to celebrate World Habitat Day (Monday, October 4th) over the weekend of Friday, October 8th-Sunday, October 10th. "Days of our Lives" talent will help build on the Philadelphia affiliate's most current project in Pennsylvania. Arianne Zucker, who is the show's official Habitat representative, as well as Eric Martsolf, who grew up in Harrisburg and is a native Pennsylvanian, will lead the group in this East Coast build. The talent will participate in an on-site build sponsored by Habitat and the Apartment Association of Greater Philadelphia (AAGP) on Saturday, October 9th. Construction began in September on the two new energy-efficient four bedroom houses that the cast will be working on in West Philadelphia. The homes are scheduled to be completed by spring 2011.
There will be a neighborhood clean-up project that same afternoon in which the show's fans are encouraged to come out and participate. Those attending will have the opportunity to meet some of the show's favorite cast members including: Arianne Zucker (Nicole Walker), Eric Martsolf (Brady Black), Mark Hapka (Nathan Horton), Jay Johnson (Philip Kiriakis) and Shawn Christian (Daniel Jonas).
The cast will also be attending Habitat Philadelphia's 5K Race For Humanity on Sunday, October 10th in Hatfield, PA. They will kick off the race to help raise money for construction on two energy efficient Habitat homes in West Philadelphia.
