Soapdom has now recieved official word from Bold and the Beautiful Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell that Emmy®-nominated actor William deVry is indeed joining the cast in the contract role of Storm Logan. deVry began taping scenes September 19, 2006 and his first airdate is scheduled for mid-October.
deVry steps into the role of Stephen Logan, Jr., referred to as “Storm,” brother of Brooke Logan Forrester Marone (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis). An attorney by profession, Storm arrives on the scene at the request of Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) to defend his ex-wife Taylor Hayes Forrester (Hunter Tylo) as she stands accused of vehicular manslaughter in the death of her sister-in-law Darla Forrester (Schae Harrison).
Nominated in 2004 for an Emmy® in the category of Outstanding Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance as the nafarious Michael Cambias on All My Children, deVry’s other credits include The Lost World, Outer Limits, Dead Man’s Gun, Nash Bridges, First Wave, Poltergeist: The Legacy as well as the hit series Beggars & Choosers (Brent Callus) and Gene Roddenberry’s Earth: Final Conflict (Joshua Doors).
Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, deVry comes from a long lineage of athletes and entrepreneurs. His father lettered in several sports in college and his maternal grandmother held 26 world records in track and field. His paternal great-grandfather, Herman deVry, invented the first portable motion picture projector and founded The deVry Institute for Technology. Herman deVry is referenced in the history books as “The Father of Visual Education”.
An avid collector of art and connoisseur of fashion and architecture, deVry divides his time between his homes in California, New York, Florida, and Vancouver, Canada. He begins airing on The Bold and the Beautiful on Wednesday, October 18, 2006.
