B&B Scores with Alan Thicke in Guest Starring Role

Alan ThickeActor, writer, director, producer and composer, Alan Thicke, joins the cast of the Bold and the Beautiful in the guest starring role of "Rich Ginger."  Thicke's scenes are scheduled to air at the end of August.

As Ginger, Thicke is an outspoken talk show host who gives Donna Logan (portrayed by Jennifer Gareis) her first big television interview as the lead model for Forrester Creations’ “Brooke’s Bedroom” lingerie line.  Thicke appears in scenes with Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester), Lesli Kay (Felicia Forrester) and Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan).

Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell previews, “Donna is caught off guard when Ridge takes the stage while she’s being interviewed and presents an announcement in response to Ginger’s ‘out-of-line’ questioning about his personal relationship with his “New Logan.”  Meanwhile, Forrester publicist, Ridge’s sister Felicia, stands in the wings horrified that her brother may be using Donna to get to his true-love, Brooke.”

Best known for his role as Jason Seaver on Growing Pains, Thicke has a long and esteemed list of television and movie credits including hosting his own television talk and entertainment shows such as Thicke of the Night, The Alan Thicke Show and TV’s Funniest Families.  Additionally, Thicke has a notable list of composing credits, having scored the theme song for such hit television shows as The Facts of Life, Diff’rent Strokes, Wheel of Fortune, Celebrity Sweepstakes, Whew! and The Wizard of Odds.

Thicke, who taped his scenes on Thursday, August 10, will air on The Bold and the Beautiful on Wednesday, August 30 and Thursday, August 31, 2006.
