B&B Lands Kyle Lowder and Alley Mills in Contract Roles

Allie Mills (Pamela, B&B)Actress Alley Mills ("The Wonder Years") joins the Bold and the Beautiful in the contract role of Pamela Douglas, the sister of Stephanie Forrester, played by original cast member Susan Flannery, Executive Producer and Head Writer, Bradley P. Bell announced last week.

Mills first appeared on December 1, 2006, along with Betty White, as guest-stars, in the critically acclaimed story-arc where it was revealed that the mother (White) that Stephanie had told her family was long-dead, is really alive and the trio (Flannery, White and Mills) come to terms with the traumatic and long-denied secret they kept, child abuse.  Through this story-arc it became known that Pamela had spent her adult life in Chicago caring for her elderly mother.  She returns in her contract role beginning on Thursday, January 11, 2007, when Stephanie asks Pam to stay in her home and watch over Eric, while she goes on a trip with their mother.

Mills is best known for her role as Norma Arnold on the Emmy Award-winning series "The Wonder Years."  Her other television credits include "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman,” and "Yes, Dear.”

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Mills currently resides in Los Angeles, CA and is married to Orson Bean.  Her birthday is May 9.

Kyle Lowder (Rick, B&B; ex Brady, DOOL)Kyle Lowder Takes on the Role of Rick Forrester

In another case of SORAS (soap opera rapid aging syndrome), Kyle Lowder joins the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in the contract role of “Rick Forrester,” Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell announced today.  The character of Rick is the son of Eric Forrester and Brooke Logan (played by John McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang), and has been overseeing Forrester International in Europe.  Rick returns to Los Angeles in support of his father’s new company, Forrester Originals.

Lowder, who received an Emmy® nomination for his role as Brady Black on Days of Our Lives, is a classically trained vocalist, who studied music theory and voice performance with Dr. Renato Mario Vellutino, of Italian opera fame and during his senior year of high school, was accepted into the prestigious All-State Choir, consisting of the top 280 rated singers in the state of New York, at which Lowder received a perfect rating of 100.  Lowder continued his musical studies in college as a B.F.A. in the performing arts program at Syracuse University but left in his sophomore year to pursue his acting career. He has continued singing, having performed the National Anthem for Major League Baseball and NBA games at venues including Dodger Stadium and The Staples Center.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Lowder moved to the east coast with his family when he was three years old and grew up in Pleasantville, New York in Westchester County.  Lowder was quarterback of the Pleasantville Panthers, All New York State in Track and Field in the 800-meter event and competed in the International High School Track Championships.  Prior to accepting his acting roles, Lowder appeared in several national campaigns and runway shows for Abercrombie & Fitch and Speedo.  Lowder currently lives in Los Angeles, CA with his wife, actress Arianne Zuker (ex Nicole, Days of our Lives). The two met, courted and wed during their tenure on Days of our Lives.  Lowder celebrates his birthday on August 27.

Lowder’s first tape date was Wednesday, December 12, 2006 and his first airdate is set for Thursday, January 25, 2007.
