Casting ins and outs on Days of our Lives
Say it isn't so! Wish we could. Soapdom can now confirm that after a whopping sixteen years on Days of our Lives, fan favorite, Bryan Dattilo's (Lucas) contract was not picked up. Not only that -- he's taped his last episode right before the Christmas haitus. Fellow castmates were floored. On her twitter, Dattilo's long time co-star, Alison Sweeney (Sami) did not even know it was his last day: "...I'm seriously devastated." Taylor Spreitler (Mia) tweeted: "Bryan=:(" With soaps being canceled left and right, and veteran actors either being asked to take salary cuts or take the highway, looks like Days is also still feeling the punch. They released long time vets, Deidre Hall (ex Marlena) and Drake Hogestyn (ex John) some time ago also due to budget cuts.
Soapdom has learned that Days of our Lives has been hiding a big secret in the form of Leann Hunley who taped scenes as a returned Anna Dimera. Why is Anna back? Stay tuned!
