Casting ins and outs on As the World Turns
Soapdom can now confirm that Daniel Cosgrove is on tap to join the ranks of the denizens of Oakdale. Cosgrove, just shy of his stint on Guiding Light as Bill, is scheduled to hit the airwaves in early 2010.
James Riordan plays “Dr. Hearn,” who wants to run more tests on “Libert,” on Monday, January 18.
Eric Sheffer Stevens joins ATWT as the initially rather heartless Dr. Reid Oliver, Noah's eye doctor, starting on January 19. He'll also cross path's with the Hughes family and Katie.
Easy come, easy go. Paul Leyden exits once again and takes Simon with him on Monday, January 18.
Meredith Hagner, who has played Liberty since April 2008 and garnered a Supporting Younger Actress Daytime Emmy nom for her efforts, is reportedly leaving the show. She also holds down a recurring role on USA's prime time series, Royal Pains. Could her prime time duties be cutting into her daytime ones? Hager will be taping her last scenes before the end of the year and will air into 2010.
