Taylor’s unraveling gets the attention of James who does his best to calm and soothe his good friend and patient. James is not the only person, or persons, worried for Taylor’s mental well being. Rick and Bridget congregate to discuss the problems their dear friend Taylor is suffering through, due to Bridget’s mistake. Rick appears overly concerned for Taylor, but for good reason once Bridget recalls what it was like being in love with Nick, and married to him, with the love he felt for Brooke looming about.

Brooke’s first reaction is to be bothered by Nick’s revelation that he still is and always has been in love with Brooke. She soon gives in to her own feelings, admitting she never stopped loving him. Brooke too is still in love with her former husband. Brooke and Nick run into each other’s arms with the realization of the many people that will get hurt if the truth comes out.

Nick explains he must tell Taylor the truth, though he intends on staying with her and raising their son as a family. Nick returns home faced with exactly the question he had just answered for himself and Brooke. Taylor has pulled herself together and asks, ready for the truth, if Nick is still in love with Brooke.

Will the seafaring fashion mogul tell his mentally ill wife the truth or will he lie for Taylor’s well being? And what will Brooke do with this information? Can she keep it to herself and finally get on with her life with Ridge or will she destroy two families to get what she wants?
