Stephanie begins to insult and belittle Donna and Eric, immediately after discovering their affair. All that Stephanie has to say, has been said to each many times before, so it falls on deaf ears now. Stephanie is ready to bring an end to this childish game of insults and tries to fire Donna. Her own actions come back to bite her when Eric tells his wife it isn’t Donna that will be fired, it is her. To add insult to injury, Eric also informs Stephanie that their marriage is over in every way and he is divorcing her.
Stephanie doesn’t want to see this happen again, but gives into Eric’s adolescent crush on Donna. Although Donna and Eric claim to be in love, Stephanie is prepared to wait the affair out and be there to pick up the pieces, as she always is. Eric is determined to find happiness in his personal life and business with Donna by his side.
Eric isn’t the only Forrester male to find happiness with a Logan. Both of his sons seem to be striving in that department. Katie is more than welcomed by Thorne, who is settling into his old office at Forrester Creations. She has lunch for them but confesses it was suppose to be for her and Brooke. When Katie returned home from picking up the sandwiches, she saw Ridge’s car in the driveway. A peek through the window, revealed something heavy was going on so she decided to let Brooke and Ridge have space. No matter the reason, Thorne is glad to see Katie.
Katie admires Thorne’s soft and nurturing way with the employees. She wonders aloud why all the “good ones” are taken. Thorne inquires about what she means. Katie asks if he is seeing anyone. Thorne jokes saying “only you." Katie doesn’t let the opportunity pass, “Then why don’t you keep it that way?” she asks with a shy, flirty smile. Thorne doesn’t hesitate to agree with her. They seal the deal of making their relationship exclusive with a kiss, that just happens to be witnessed by Donna.
Brooke has to know, can Ridge accept that she is the biological mother of Nick and Taylor’s baby? In a long-winded explanation, Ridge admits he doesn’t like it, but when it comes down to it, he doesn’t have a life if it isn’t with Brooke. Brooke is so relieved to hear this that she asks him to go up stairs with her. Ridge doesn’t feel they should have sex so soon after her rape, but Brooke begs him to be with her. They make love and lie in candlelight thanking God for each other and promising nothing will get in their way this time.
Have the Forrester and Logan families finally come together to make one big happy family without Stephanie anywhere near them or will Stephanie divide and conquer as she always does. Soapdom has the latest moves, just like playing chess, between which Forrester man is taking what Logan sister to bed.
