The sudzer was the recipient of the International TV Audience Award in the "Telenovela/Soap Opera" category on Thursday, June 14, 2012, at the Monte Carlo Television Festival, confirming that the it remains the world's most watched series in its genre. This is the seventh consecutive year that the series has been the recipient of this award.

The Bold and the Beautiful cast members Scott Clifton ("Liam"), Don Diamont ("Bill"), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood ("Steffy"), Kim Matula ("Hope") and Hunter Tylo ("Taylor"), accepted the award on stage at Closing Awards Ceremony at the Grimaldi Forum.

The International TV Audience Awards are determined by the sum of ratings across five continents and 65 countries as measured by Médiamétrie and Eurodata TV Worldwide. The win signifies that The Bold and the Beautiful delivered higher ratings worldwide in 2011 than any other telenovela or daily drama. Created by Médiamétrie, Eurodata TV Worldwide distributes programming and audience information, based on its partnership with the national institutes operating people meter systems throughout the world.

On May 9, 2012, the series received 11 Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Award nominations. In 2011, The Bold and the Beautiful received its third consecutive Daytime Emmy® award for "Outstanding Daytime Drama Series" and is the current record-holder as the Most Popular Daytime Soap Currently on TV by The Guinness World Records®.
