Brad Bell (EP, Bold & the Beautiful) Photo: Kathy HutchinsThe 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were held this evening in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Hilton and aired from 8 to 10 PM on CBS.

Wayne Brady hosted the show which was a sort of hodgepodge with an array of Vegas acts, poignant moments, and tribute to talk show queen, Oprah Winfrey and the 25-year reign of the Oprah Winfrey Show that went a tad too long, especially as Oprah

could not be there in person to thank those honoring her.

The biggest news of the night came in the show's final moments when the Bold and the Beautiful took home the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama series for the third year in a row.

Other daytime drama category winners are:

Outstanding Supporting Actor
Jonathan Jackson (Lucky, General Hospital)

Outstanding Supporting Actress
Heather Tom (Katie, The Bold and the Beautiful)

Outstanding Younger Actor
Scott Clifton (Liam, The Bold and the Beautiful)

Outstanding Younger Actress
Brittany Allen (ex Marissa, All My Children)

Outstanding Actor
Miichael Park (Jack, As the World Turns)

Outstanding Actress
Laura Wright (Carly, General Hospital)

Outstanding Drama Series Writing
Young and the Restless

Outstanding Drama Series Directing
The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless

Congratulations to all the daytime drama winners. We'll be back soon with our review of the broadcast, the daytime drama winners of the 38th Annual Creative Craft Awards, tons of fun photos from a number of Emmy related events, and more Daytime Emmy news.

Stay tuned.

Patrika Darbo is back, and ready to stir the kettle

The mother from hell is back!  And she is ready to stir the kettle and create chaos and havoc, the two things she best knows how to do . But to Patrika Darbo, who plays Nancy Wesley on Days of our Lives, all her intentions are of good nature and she means no harm.

“Me the mother from hell? Oh honey…I have to tell you, everything I do is with the best intentions,” Darbo laughs. “I’m a mother and I would do anything for my daughter. It’s like the ying and yang. We may go back and forth, but I am a loving mom and full of good intentions. I am all heart.”

Darbo has been back now a few weeks and she has a purpose and that is to make someone’s life a living hell. Her daughter Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) has a son and wants to get back with the baby’s father. The problem?
