{mosimage}Episode #12,947----Dusty finds Emily holding the wad of cash from her night with Steve and wonders where it came from. She evades by apologizing for missing the Intruder meeting and Dusty warns that it may have damaged her career. Emily won’t commit to the newspaper deal, but does take a call from Steve and tells him his friend, John, can call her. Overhearing, Dusty assumes Emily has another job. She denies and to appease Dusty, agrees to go back to work at the paper, but then takes a call from John. Later, Emily appears ready to turn a trick when she goes to John’s hotel room, but suddenly stops the seduction demanding her $1000 fee before she has sex with John.

Lily is excited when she closes a deal to back a startup baby food company. Lucinda cautions Lily about rushing into the deal and Lily accuses her mother of not trusting her. Meanwhile, Faith admits to Luke that she threw up but lies that she hasn’t been sick before. A doubtful Luke calls Lily to come home and tells her that Faith is deliberately throwing up. Faith overhears and insists that Luke is lying. Lily wants Faith’s word that she got sick from something she ate. Faith lies to Lily then tells Luke to stay out her life.

After his vision, Paul struggles with the urge to rescue Meg who, although tipsy, is willing to sleep with Craig. Craig surprises her by saying that he wants her to feel more for him than a sense of obligation. Meg is sleeping when Paul arrives to take her home, but she refuses to go with him. Although Meg believes Paul’s vision she tells him she put herself in danger, and Craig stopped her from making it worse. Paul leaves when Meg insists that he stop bothering her. Craig continues to be solicitous, but wary Meg wonders when and how he’ll want to be paid back for creating the fake diary entry and saving her career. Craig promises there are no strings attached. A relieved Meg is grateful, and grows closer to Craig, exactly as he hoped.
