Paul, newly furious at Craig for his verbal attack on Jennifer, convinces Hal to reach out to the judge about denying Craig bail and the judge agrees. Upon hearing this, Craig decides desperate measures are called for and sets the interrogation room on fire. Chaos ensues and when Hal puts out the fire, all are horrified to realize that Craig is gone. Meanwhile, Carly, after saying goodbye to a comatose Rosanna, returns to Milltown to look after the new member of her family, Rosanna’s adopted baby. While caring for him, she has another frightening memory of Iris’s baby but shakes it off. Later, she heads out of the room to get a bottle, only to return to the sight of the fugitive Craig leaning over the baby carriage! Meanwhile, Paul says goodbye to Rosanna and vows to become more like James and Craig in order to protect his own.
Dusty does some work at Lucinda's, where Meg continually does her best to entice him. They end up having cocktails at the Lakeview, with a trip up to Dusty's room on the agenda until a distraught Jennifer shows up. Meg, realizing this will inevitably sidetrack her plans with Dusty, plays gracious and leaves, though she remains frustrated. Jennifer confesses to Dusty she feels Craig may have been right, that she deserved what happened to her.
