{mosimage}Episode #12,998----Emily encourages Alison to get her life together. Susan nearly catches them arguing, but they cover and Susan suggests they go shopping. Dusty calls Emily to meet and tells her to ease up on Alison. While out with Susan, Elwood recognizes Alison from a film, and when he tries to place her Alison whisks Susan away. Dusty tells Emily he’s buying Craig’s half of the Intruder and Emily is moved. Susan has to leave for the hospital and once she leaves, Alison slips out. Later, Emily realizes Alison’s gone.

Meg tells Paul they can’t be together while they’re trying to set up Craig, but Paul worries. Meg shows up to warn Craig he’s in serious danger, and spins a tale of Paul being unhinged. Meg asserts she hurt him and is sorry and that the world deserves to know he’s human inside. Craig tells Meg to prove her worth and sleep with him. Meg says in her own good time, and later wonders what she’s gotten herself into.

Luke tries to encourage Faith to eat when Lucinda shows and uses tough-love. Paul comes in and approaches Faith, concerned for her. Lucinda tries to get him to leave but Faith wants Paul to stay. Paul promises Lucinda in regards to Craig, Paul’s on her side. Lucinda issues a firm warning to Paul to stay away form her family.

When ABC announced the cancellation of long time fan favorite soap operas All My Children and One Life to Live in the spring of 2011, all havoc broke loose. Passionate fans took to the internet, boycotted ABC's advertisers, called for the firing of then ABC Daytime head, Brian Frons (who spearheaded the cancellations), picketed the studio, did anything and everything they possibly could to let the network know just how unhappy they were with the network's decision to dump their continuing stories for the more cost efficient lifestyle and talk shows that were to replace the soaps.

One such loyal fan, Flo DiBona, has chronicled the events of this tumultuous time in her new book, Soapers.
