As the World Turns Episode Recap, Wednesday, May 7, 2008

{mosimage}Episode #13,262----Jack discovers Parker has a game he didn’t have permission to buy and demands to know how Parker got it. Parker reluctantly admits that Liberty gave him the money. Jack brings Parker in, and forces him to tell Brad and Katie the truth. Liberty won the money on a dare, and they both went out on a shopping spree. Brad calls the school, and finds out Liberty has been a no-show. Liberty makes a deal with Brad, she’ll go back to school, but she wants her own room at the hotel. Katie is aghast, as Brad gives in to Liberty. Liberty skips school again, and overhears Jack say Parker can hang out with Liberty. Katie encourages Brad to call Liberty’s mother and leaves a voice message for Janet. Alone with Liberty, Parker apologizes for tattling on her.

Mike takes Meg out for breakfast to thank her for taking care of his ankle. Meg thinks Paul needs to go to prison to learn his lesson. Mike wants Meg to drop the charges; but the restraining order against Paul will still be in effect. Paul is very hung over when Sofie shows up. Paul is impassive, as Sofie starts to unbutton her blouse, but Barbara enters. Sofie goes out. Barbara warns Paul this has to stop – now. Paul gets called down to the police station and is shocked to hear that the charges are being dropped. Mike warns Paul, the charges against him are dropped, but the restraining order remains in effect. Barbara presses Sofie to stay away from Paul. Paul tells Sofie to stay away from him; they’re a bad combination. Barbara invites Sofie to the reopening of Metro. Meg thanks Mike for handling the Paul situation. Mike wants to take Meg out for some fresh air. Paul thanks Meg for dropping the charges against him. He promises he won’t be a problem for her; this is the last time she’ll see him. Paul goes, leaving Meg bereft.

Talk about a devoted soap fan. Not only has Jeffrey T. Mason been watching the Young and the Restless for 30 years, but he even took a ride to the real Genoa City, Wisconsin to visit the town that is the fictional setting where the show and its daily trials and tribulations take place.
