Paul tells James he’s not going to accept his offer of help and tells him he has one hour to get out. Barbara is taken off by Derek in a limo, as he impresses upon her the urgency of Paul giving back his money. Barbara, alarmed, goes to Paul’s to talk to him about this and is shocked to run into James. James flirts with her and asks her to help him convince their son to accept his help. But Barbara refuses and tells Paul not to accept any deal from James. Paul however, at the end of his rope after Barbara is threatened, asks James what he is offering. James tells him that Paul has to keep him safe at Fairwinds for a while, and Paul can have access to money that’s been kept safe here in Oakdale for him.
