Lily’s in a good mood and glad that she and Holden are in a good place until she sees he’s holding her Dusty mementoes. Holden insists he has no quarrel with Lily’s ongoing attachment to Dusty; but he does resent her need to lie about it. Holden doesn’t want a divorce but urges Lily to find a way to get past these lies before she destroys them. Lucinda suggests Lily go to Iva’s for a rest. Holden agrees that Lily’s leaving is for the best. When Holden blurts that Lily’s gone, Carly comforts him.
Jack wakes up to determined Carly who wants him to go. Carly maintains that pretending she and Jack have a warm and loving relationship is harmful to the kids, Jack reluctantly agrees. Carly shows no emotion as Jack leaves, but instructs him to call before he comes to talk to the kids. Margo boosts disheartened Jack by reminding he still has his kids and his work. Jack can’t believe he’s reached the end of the line with Carly.
Katie’s taken aback at Brad’s unwillingness to get pregnant. Brad reassures Katie they’ll have sex as soon as he gets condoms, but she’s no longer in the mood. Katie walks out on Brad claiming she needs air. Brad reassures Katie that he wants kids, but he also wants a strong marriage with Katie.
