{mosimage}Episode #13,248----Margo gets amorous with Tom, but he knows it’s only so she can ignore Katie’s wedding. Tom urges Margo to go to Katie’s wedding, but Margo refuses. She watches on TV but the lack of an attendant for Katie gets to Margo and she races to the studio.

Brad tries to mediate the tension between Jack and Mike. Katie thinks Mike is trying to sabotage her. Katie insists she and Mike are over and throws him out. Brad implores Jack to stay for the wedding. Henry learns the minister is a wannabe actor. When the minister gets stage fright, Henry is promoted from man of honor to minister. Brad and Katie say their “I do’s.” Margo asks Katie if she’s certain this is what she wants, and Katie faints. When Katie comes to, Brad asks if she really wants to marry him. She agrees she does and they finish the wedding. All the guests leave and Brad tells Katie to get ready for the honeymoon. Mike leaves the angel he bought for Katie behind in a bar.

Carly reminds Holden that he and Lily always find their way back to each other. Holden says Carly and Jack do, too.

Lily brings Dusty’s keepsakes down from the attic and tries to stay strong while looking at them. Lily hides Dusty’s mementoes and silently apologizes to Holden. Holden sees the box of Dusty’s things outside. Lily insists to Holden they can’t let Jack and Carly break up. Lily wants to throw a dinner party for herself, Holden, Carly and Jack. Carly agrees to the dinner party and Jack agrees to come.

Days of our Lives makes history with first gay male wedding

The big day finally has come! Days of our Lives made history, and it was no April fools joke. The show is known for its long standing reputation for having storylines that are firsts, or tackling controversial subjects, or going out on a limb. I mean who can forget being possessed by the devil? Well! The show just aired the first gay male wedding making the first such event in daytime television.

The story was handled impeccably, and done tastefully. The same sex relationship has been moving slowing through trials and tribulations for the last several years.

First there was the acknowledging who you are. Then the accepting, and finally the coming out. And now the jubilant wedding of the duo known as WilSon. Will Horton (Guy Wilson) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) is taking the relationship into orbit, or like the old original Star Trek show said, 'to go where no man has gone before,' at least not on a daytime drama.
