Will delivers the bad news to Barbara that they can’t adopt. Barbara blurts about Gwen losing the chance to adopt and Iris quickly jumps to Will’s history being the reason. Later, Iris tells Cole his family needs him in Oakdale. When Iris tells Cole about Gwen’s plight, Cole thinks he might have a way to make everybody happy.

Iris tells Aaron she paid Sofie to leave town because she thought the baby might not be Cole’s. Sofie rejects Aaron’s offer to come to see her, even though she assures she’s no longer with Cole. Aaron’s tempted to call Sofie back, but let’s the moment pass. Sofie decides not to call Aaron.

Despite what Jack and Carly did in Montana, Jack still loves Katie. Jack’s in the middle of letting Carly down easy off the marriage thing when Sage enters, misunderstands, and assumes they’re getting married. Brad enters and advises Jack that marrying Carly is the worst thing he could do. Jack, finally cutting all ties to Katie, takes off his wedding ring. Later, Carly begins to drink beer and dance.

Brad’s surprised to see Katie’s thrown her wedding album away. Katie confides to Brad that she feels that Jack’s signing the annulment papers proves he never loved her. Kim sees Katie hesitate – and not throw away the album. Katie decides to see if Jack wants it. Katie’s about to leave the wedding album outside but is stunned to see Carly dancing.
