It's the day of Brad's funeral. Jack has been up all night, drinking beer. Janet finds him outside, looking at a picture of him and Brad as kids. Liberty comes down and hears that Jack had been drinking when he accidentally shot Brad. Parker rides to the funeral with Holden. Katie stops by to see her son, apologizing for not being with him more since he looks so much like Brad. Henry goes to the hospital and is checked out by Alison, for his hallucinations. He can't shake Brad, who's still there, and tells him to retrieve a notebook to give to Katie. Henry goes to see Katie, who doesn't give him the time of day, but she does end up with the notebook and a post-it. At the funeral, Craig says some very kind words. Casey is also at the funeral, pulled between Maddie and Alison. Katie reads Brad's essay from the notebook, about Jack (who himself has pulled it together enough to show up, but remains unseen on the
side) called "My Hero." Katie tells everyone the name on the post-it, and her son shall be named Jacob Bradley Snyder. Jack can't handle it and leaves, and on his way out runs into the returning Carly. Jack is surprised to see Carly at the church. She heard from Rosanna about Brad. She wants him to join her inside but he's reluctant. Eventually, they go in but everyone has already left. Carly goes home and Craig and Rosanna are surprised to see her. Parker's glad his mother is home. Carly wants to get back on track with her fiancé Craig. She hugs him and he looks at Rosanna, after being so determined at the church to tell Carly the truth. Parker wonders if Rosanna and Craig told Carly. Carly wonders what they're talking about. Meanwhile, after talking to Margo at the police station, Jack turns in his gun and badge. He stops by the farm to leave a note for Janet and hits the road to try and figure everything all out. Brad thinks he still has unfinished business, which would explain why he's still around. He goes to his house and sees Katie but is interrupted by Henry at the door. Katie seems to feel Brad's presence. Craig and Rosanna don't tell Carly their secret. Carly does however bring them to an open AA meeting, where she thanks them both for their support. Rosanna can't bear it and rushes out, just as Carly gets a text from Sage. Carly goes home to see her daughter. Craig and Rosanna retreat to his hotel room to make love. Rosanna urges Craig to help her fill Carly in on what's happened between them. Craig says he'll do it himself. Carly goes over to his hotel room, dressed sexily, and he's reluctant. Rosanna interrupts them and Carly leaves, but comes back later to ask when Craig was going to tell her he's been screwing her sister. Carly is livid at Rosanna and Craig, kicking them out of her house. Carly goes to talk to Janet but she's upset enough as it is about Brad and Jack, and tells Carly it's not all about her. Meanwhile, Jack has driven to Philadelphia, looking for a bar where Brad used to work. He runs into Ben Harris who's now running a food bank. They catch up a little, though Jack's very guarded, and they stumble on a jumper named Irv, dressed as Ben Franklin. Jack goes up to talk to him and they actually have a common point of view, and both consider jumping.
