Ellen Dolan (Margo, As the World Turns)Episode #13,544----Carly is pouring out all the alcohol in her house. She swears to Craig her drinking days are over and starts drawing. Craig heads to the police station to give his final statement about the hit and run - that he didn't see anything - leaving Carly alone. But soon thereafter, Carly goes to the liquor store in Old Town and gets a bottle. Meanwhile, at the station, a witness comes in to talk about the near hit and run on Craig. Jack thinks the description places Carly and Parker at the scene and he is devastated. He goes to see Parker and realizes Carly was drunk driving. He goes to Milltown and Carly ultimately admits it was her fault. Craig doesn't want to press charges, and Jack accepts since no one got hurt. But when Carly says she's off drinking, Jack challenges her by asking her to take a breathalyzer test. Craig protects her, says Jack should have faith in her. Jack can't help but accept that and leaves. Craig tells Carly he is proud of her but once he leaves, she takes another drink.

Casey wants Alison to hide Riley's watch to prove a point to Margo. Margo later questions Casey who's being protective but defensive. Casey tells Alison that Riley just gives him a bad feeling. Margo asks Riley to leave, for the sake of her family.

Soapers ~ a movement, a philosophy, a new book

When ABC announced the cancellation of long time fan favorite soap operas All My Children and One Life to Live in the spring of 2011, all havoc broke loose. Passionate fans took to the internet, boycotted ABC's advertisers, called for the firing of then ABC Daytime head, Brian Frons (who spearheaded the cancellations), picketed the studio, did anything and everything they possibly could to let the network know just how unhappy they were with the network's decision to dump their continuing stories for the more cost efficient lifestyle and talk shows that were to replace the soaps.

One such loyal fan, Flo DiBona, has chronicled the events of this tumultuous time in her new book, Soapers.
