Leo is touched when Greenlee visits him in jail. Meanwhile, David catches Vanessa sneaking out of his room, cut plays along with her story. David later tells Erica that Vanessa was searching for something in his room. David and Erica find the gem missing from the safe and come to the conclusion that Vanessa and Paolo were lovers. Then, Greenlee offers Leo support and understanding after Vanessa does not show up at court. A grateful Leo is later overwhelmed when Greenlee takes care of his bail. Next, David begins to suspect that Vanessa killed Paolo, and refuses to let Leo take the rap for their mother
