Erica offers Rain a cool ten thousand dollars to leave Pine Valley, and to never contact Bianca again. On the other side of town, Leo is at the hospital with Laura and is worried about Vanessa, wanting her back in his life.

In the meantime, "Arlene" is in Hayley's condo with a sailor. She tells him that she killed Hayley. Later, Mateo finds Hayley's wedding ring and their crumpled wedding photo with Hayley's writing on it. The cops arrive at the condo, but Mateo hides the evidence. Then, Mateo finds a matchbox in "Arlene's" jacket, tracing her to The Pit. He leaves to go look for her.

Later, Dixie and David have a conversation about Vanessa and Dixie convinces David to put aside the hatred he feels for his mother and perform the operation that could save her life. David listens to Dixie and agrees to do the operation.
